So, I am a fan of Horn but according to a major aussie news outlet, Lonergan and Jeff are pushing for an immediate fight against Tim Tszyu. I was a huge Kostya fan and his boy looks good obviously however he should have a few more fights before mixing it on a world scale. I forgave Horn and his team for the Mundine fiasco but this is pretty pathetic in my view. It's obviously another cash grab con job on the aussie public. The article also mentions Brant and Castano. Fight Brant if he gets past his next opponent, stay away from Castano!
Duco just want to make a quick buck off Horn. I'll hand it to them they are savvy and understand what the gullible Australian public want but have no scruples. This will not help Horns standing on the international stage whatsoever...if anything its lose-lose..either Horn starts prohibited favorite and easily defeats him gaining nothing or Tszyu shows his potential and Horns struggles with a relative novice. I do honestly believe Horn would prefer to chase international honours but his team want the safe money.
I don't like this fight at all, Horn destroys this kid, he's not even remotely ready for step up like this. This would have been like Lomachenko calling out Devin Haney or Teofimo Lopez a year ago, this is pretty pretty low of Horn's promoter.
No surprise Horn is just another Aussie con artist like Danny Green. He will look for the weakest option every time he can. The only big names he will fight will be opponents way past their best. Horn does not have one decent win against a fighter under the age of 36.
Is anyone really surprised? I mean this is the same scum bag who cheated Manny Pacquiao, weight drained 43 year old Mundine to a skeleton and tried dragging Paulie Malignaggi out of retirement. Not to mention his POS brother tried starting a fight with Parkinson's sufferer Freddie Roach.
Even though Tszyu Jnr is unproven he does look like he has improved. I agree I think that he would beat Horn. Tszyu is too big for Horn to try an use his dirty wrestling tactics and he looks to hit hard enough to put Horn on his ass.
If true I'd say Tim Tszyu would take it , Horn would be a done chicken ( fried up ) finnished . When u think about it Horn's hardest Fight's are Pacquiao an Crawford that's all .
Yeah agreed my only concern for Tszyu is what his gas tank is like if he doesn't get Horn out early. Ideally it would be good for Tszyu to have at least another 2 fights against durable guys maybe some one like Zerafa who just went 12 with Kell Brook.
I quite like this fight next year after Horn has made a run at a Junior Middleweight world title and Tszyu has some more fights under his belt. As for a fight between them next up, it's not happening.
Typical of dean lonergan to try and pull a stunt like this. he's a wwe style of promoter who's trying to make a buck instead of trying to get horn in big fights.
Omg LOL your way off as usual and always looking for any opportunity to take shots at Horn including lies made up in the past about him,Horns last fight against Mundine was his easiest for a few years and considering the payday he had every right to take the fight just like anybody would have in his spot. It was just 2 fights ago he took on 1 of the top few current P4P fighters in the world and 2 fights before that he won his world title against ATG Pacquio
