Anyone here knowledgeable or a fan of Joichiro Tatsuyoshi? Was planning on watching some of his fights. I only know that he was former bantamweight champ, had very long arms for his height and was quite exciting (from what of seen in highlights). Any discussion will do. What we're some of his best bouts? Thanks!
Unfortunately I can’t add much. I have his name down as I am currently studying watching and ranking fighters 118 and under...but have not checked him out yet. Hopefully some of the more knowledgeable posters of the lighter weights will see this and chime in...I am also interested
Can't exactly school anyone on him... but really remember his effort against Richardson for the title. He had fought a total of 18 or so rounds in his pro career before taking on Greg and he beat him around the ring, body and head, while walking thru whatever was coming his way. Very impressive but you could sense it was a game plan for a short career at the top. Sure enough, ring life got harder in his next fight. He battled on way too long, against the requests of family and friends, and now seems a bit punchy.
Fun fighter, tremendously popular in Japan. Beat Sirimonkgol (who’s still going and is a freak for weight jumping) but suffered a bad eye injury and suffered as a result. He was a bit like Gatti: skilled, but got too easily embroiled in wars. Once he met Veeraphol he’d already been struggling with the eye injury, but was thoroughly dissected and after that had nothing left really. He’d already had a full career at that point anyway with multiple title fights at bantam (flawed, but talented and fun) and super bantam (not strong enough) But yeah, tremendously popular in Japan. Not much to know as he’s not historically relevant in an all-time sense, just another really good lower weight fighter, just watch the fights.

Wow! What a find! I just skimmed it but will read it in whole after my Sixers beat the lakers in an hour! Thanks for sharing
Holy Sh*t! I had never seen that. Happened during my lost years and never caught up to it. What a brawl.
Shame that some of the videos have been removed. His fight with Greg Richardson is unbelievable, Starts at 25:55. This content is protected
This guy is a real good channel. I've been downloading his vids. Have to see if he has the rabanales bouts. He seems to have full, original broadcasts.
