I agree, plus Froch would have beat him in a fight, as Froch would say he's too big too strong. I also think his jab would have been a nightmare for Golovkin.

As much as I hate to say it I’d have to go with the Prince of Pompous

Good thread. It sheds some light on the inconsistent way enthusiasm gets started about certain fighters. Not that GGG isn't a great fighter, but his resume doesn't equal Froch's, and Froch never generated the celebrity or fan base GGG did.

Edit: further thought: Of course Froch did himself no favors outside the island by being such an arrogant jerk.

really froch by far, a true elite, GGG never made that jump nor tried until he was 35.
In contrast when Froch reached world level in 2006, he went on a rampage of world and elite bouts for the next 7 years, with the possible exception of Murat.

Froch however was more of a local hero type, GGG a national one.

H2H, it would go to points, SD narrowly either way, with Froch taking it in Nottingham, and 3G in Kazza.

On neutral ground, probably to froch but very close to call.

One guy beat the **** out of the Dirrell and made Ward run away to LH.
The other guy got beat by both Dirrell and Ward.

GGG and it ain't even close bruh.

In line with the common theme I agree Froch achieved a lot more and has the more stellar resume

    Kessler is Froch best win.

Better resume in terms of names is Froch.
Better career in terms of money GGG, he's got more from 2 Canelo fights than Froch's entire career.
Better career in terms of titles is Golovkin. He was clearly the #1 MW for a while while Froch was second best to Andre Ward.
    Better p4p fighter is Golovkin.
Who would have one head to head prime vs prime? Hard to say, it'd be close. I think it goes to points as both have excellent chins. Froch is bigger but less skilled, I'm taking the skills here if I have to. I'm pretty sure GGG beats the older Froch when the fight was discussed, it's hard to pick "Swerve him like a mule" Froch.

he appears to have won his first world title in 2014, so his claim to being the number 1 alone runs from there to when canelo became an arguable number 1 in 2015.

FRoch also spent a year as number 1 SMW when Ward moved up.

They are both kinda comparable in that respect.

again I am unsure about this, froch has the better scalps by far so the logic is he must be better.

G has a better offensive probably.
