I think you are getting angry for no reason.

You made a wild claim, I genuinely wanted to understand the logic or see some evidence.

Please educate me, because I've tried googling your claims and nothing comes up.

If you know somethings for sure, that I do not... please educate the forum.

How does participating in a WBO mandatory fight make you lose a WBC mandatory status? At least tell me where you learnt this?

I get we discuss things here, but you are discussing a regulation.... that's unequivocal... it either is or it isn't. There is no room for doubt.

Fair play, I've tit for tat on some occasions with specific posters but I am genuinely trying to communicate with people on here.

    Do you know anything about:

How does participating in a WBO mandatory fight make you lose a WBC mandatory status?

I am really seeking knowledge here. I've tried asking google.

I'm not angry. I love talking about boxing.

Ok you got me, I don't have the evidence in black and white to prove my point. It would be useless if I did anyway, the ABC orgs seem to make the rules up as they go along on a case by case, ad-hoc basis.

But in my experience following boxing, a fighter loses his mandatory status if he loses a fight before his title shot, with the worldwide orgs anyway. I know there can be differences with the EBU and BBBoC etc.

But I still think if Whyte fights as the WBO mandatory challenger, he gives up his status as WBC mandatory challenger. Now we can agree to disagree, but that's what I think. I'll hold my hands up and admit I've got it wrong if I have, no big deal. There's people a lot more knowledgeable about boxing than me on here, so maybe somebody will be able to prove me wrong. I would actually like to hear other people's thoughts on this.

That is fair enough, and it might make sense if you lose a fight as mando, prior to a title shot, in the same organisation body, but not in an external (other) sanctioning body, I didn't think a sactioning body has a regulation that extend over to other sanctioning body's.

I mean being super challenger with WBO as Usyk is, is a special privilege granted to Usyk because he is title holder from all 4 sanctioning bodies, this is another unusual privilege.

I just didn't think Whyte would have done the deal with Breazeale if this was the case, because he wants both mandatory options available!!

And WBO is coming up soon.

It is because he has been inactive that Breazeale has been dropped from the Ring's top ten.

I wasn't talking about Brezeale specifically. I said "That's why you get fighters..."

    Oh yes!!!

I'm surprised that they have not all got new T shirts with "Just Cough Up" emblazoned on them, it won't be long before it appears on the fight posters instead of "Live on PPV"!!!

Looks like Whyte won't be fighting till July. No chance for April.

It wouldn't surprise me if Whyte beats Breazele then takes the AJ fight as WBO mando loses but Wilder having lost his rematch is made WBC mando

Hello @Aydamn . I thought of an example, regarding our debate yesterday. Callum Smith was WBC mandatory challenger, he went into the WBSS instead. Was he still WBC mandatory after it? No he wasn't.

It's a good fight but one I wouldn't pay to see.

Did Hearn say it may not be on PPV?

Purse bids maybe, and all the promoters can get involved. So likely to be PPV sometime around July.

The upcoming 02 event in april/may is not going to be PPV.

That's true, but the WBC reasoning was that Callum was supposed to have an eliminator with Direll for a title shot but Direll pulled out, and then Direll pulled out again in another eliminator with Benavidez allt he while Callum was competing in the WBSS.

So it was the availability of Callum at the time.
