It was a decent fight to watch. Felt like for the 1st half the fight Thurman was outworking Garcia and landing some good shots whereas Garcia was trying to be more patient and accurate which he was being accurate but constantly putworpkwd which meant that Thurman would take the rounds. Garcia did some great bodywork throughout especially the left hook and jab whereas Thurman landed some nice body shots burn focused a lot more on landing some clean shots upstairs. As the fight went on Garcia’s started upping the workrate but sacrifice some of his accuracy whereas Thurman maintained his workrate but his accuracy never duped and he used his jab well to keep Garcia at his distance. Garcia did well at the end but Thurmans accuracy, cleaner shots and defence edges him those rounds but they’ve were close. Overall thurman had the better workrate, utilised his jab well, managed the range well, landed some nice left hooks and right hands, showed some great speed, power and accuracy, used his footwork nicely to position himself well, showed high ring iq, showed decent defense and threw some nice combos and single shots. Whereas Garcia showed patience, good accuracy, nice bodywork especially the left hook and jab, decent speed, good defense throughout, landed some good left hooks to the head as well and adjusted better towards the end. It was a good fight but Thurman deserves to win as the best I could give Garcia is 7-5 to thurman. What scores did everyone else have?

What a fight this was, action packed from start to finish. The whole fight was mainly porter trying to constantly pressure Thurman and get on his inside and rough Thurman up and throw a lot of punches in close quarters which worked well as Thurman was more content with boxing and countering porter specifically with the left hook and was landing cleanly all fight. Thurman was the boxer in this one tho which meant a clash of 2 styles which meant a fun fight throughout. Overall Thurman utilised the jab decently, landed some sweet left hooks throughout, landed the flashier single shots throughout as well as some good combos hurting porter once or twice. Used his footwork to keep on the outside well at times, displayed decent defense to make t hard for porter to land cleanly mostly, landed some good right uppercuts and straights throughout, showed great accuracy and speed. Whereas porter showed constant pressure and aggression, fought well on inside, used jab to get on inside, landed some great bodyshots throughout, caught Thurman with some nice combos and single shots on inside as well, had a high workrate throughout, showed heart and good chin, used his footwork to get on inside and kept coming all night. Have no problem with either man winning. What scores did everyone else have?

I watched this after seeing some back and forth posting on this. I did not really want to watch this fight but curiosity of a review twisted my arm a little. The fight sucked the second time much like it did the first. In my view this was a pretty conclusive win for Joshua. I even felt a little conflicted in my giving Parker 2 of the 3 rounds I did. Round 3 seemed like a nothing round and 5 I feel like I gave it to Parker on the back of one really good right hand and in the 6th that was the round where it seemed Parker briefly had Joshua hurt and then the referee stepped in. I think most probably gave it to Parker but I felt Joshua landed good shots before the Parker sequence and was in complete control after the break. So if I give the 3rd to Joshua and flipped 5 and 6 I would have a 118-110 card like the actual judges. In reviewing the fight the official cards which I did not like actually seem more explainable.

I actually thought the referee was good for the first 5 rounds and then:

Round 6: He intervenes in a series where Joshua was backpeddling to the ropes and Parker may have hurt him with a shot and was following up they were not tied up and he broke the fighters and broke them for a really long time.

Round 7: Another fairly long break at an odd moment, didnt seem to favor one guy

Round 8: Oddly enough the more involved referee allows Joshua to fight a long time with tape coming off of his glove which seems odd because it is so obvious. He does break the action in the middle of a Joshua attack.

Round 9: He breaks the action again but Parker did lead with the head, after the break he finally has the corner address the tape.

Round 11: Parker is in close and the referee breaks with Parker having 2 free hands. Parker doesnt complain or anything but it seemed odd.

All in all the fight was a dud. There was a moment where it heated up in round 10 at the very beginning of the round. The fight reminded me of a sparring session or fencing with neither really over exerting themselves or going for it all at any point. Joshua did apply a lot of pressure but more so with forward movement of his feet and not really with punches which I can see possibly being a problem vs Wilder,

    Joshua did:

    Jab well
Dominated the ring coming forward and controlling the center and backing Parker up
Got in some hooks, body work and an uppercut here or there
Rallied when he needed to in order to distance himself in some tit for tat jab rounds

    Parker did:

    He moved well
He was able to use his upper body to dodge some crisp Joshua right hands
He jabbed well but not as good as Joshua
Landed a couple nice right hand counters

    Parker did not:
Get all that desperate when it was obvious he needed to
    Vary his punches enough

What a fun fight this was to watch, lots of action throughout. Parker started off well using his speed advantage to land well and outbox Whyte, then Whyte started using his dirty tactics to tire Parker out and get his shots in. Parker struggles to adapt tho and Whyte was able to rough Parker up and utilise his jab throughout in the middle rounds. Parker seemed very hesitant to throw but when he did he landed well and Whyte seemed to not have an answer to it but Parker’s workrate hurt him. Parker was knocked down twice the 1st was bs with a head butt being the cause but the 2nd one was legit with Parker being hurt as a result. In the later rounds Parker came on strong have the energy to put it on Whyte and outlanding him as well as hurting Whyte and kncoking him down with Whyte just able to survive to the end. Overall Whyte had a good jab, fought well on inside, showed good heart and chin, displayed a good workrate, roughed Parker up, displayed effective pressure and aggression, landed some nice right hands and left hooks and showed more determination to win. Whereas Parker showed superior speed, good heart and chin, nice flurries of combos and punches, landed some big right hands, boxed on backfoot decently and came on strong at the end. Have no problem with either winning, what scores did everyone else have?

What a fun brawl this was to one and one I knew I had to watch just kinda never got around around to it. Both Ortiz and berto knocked down a couple of times each with both recovering to get up and keep on brawling. Throughout the fight in the rounds where no knockdowns happened it seemed like Ortiz just outfought berto and dug in there and gave it everything he had, Landing constant power punches throughout and working at a high workrate with berto at times just not knowing what to do. Kinda slowed down in the 2nd half of fight with berto doing more holding and Ortiz unable to quite hurt berto again. Overall Ortiz used the right hook, right uppercut and left straight well constantly landing them in combinations to hurt berto, Landing very accurately throughout, displayed constant aggression and pressure to rough berto up, worked the body recently, landed the better combos and single shots, showed great heart and a decently chin, worked well on inside, showed good speed and decent power. Whereas berto did land some big right hands throughout, showed great heart and chin, decent speed, accuracy and good power but didn’t throw enough and couldn’t handle Ortiz honestly. Ortiz controlled the fight overall and eserved to win a comfortable fight, what scores did everyone else’s have and what fights should I watch next?

What a back and forth fight this was to watch. Khan started off well dropping maidana with a cracking body shot. Then as the fight went on it was a case of khan using his speed and skill to outbox maidana and maidana trying to land the big shots which he did do throughout the night. Maidana was able to get to khan all night and hurt khan and also land constant bodywork to slow khan down and wear him down but to khan said credit he took most of maidanas shots well. Khan landed some cracking combos tho utilising his speed to hurt maidan throughout as well. Khan was also able to get to maidana and making him work hard to land his shots. Overall khan showed blistering speed, great combos, nice shot variety and selection, great accuracy, great heart and chin, decent footwork to make it hard at times for maidan to get to him and did well to both the head and body. Whereas maidana showed constant pressure and aggression, great bodywork throughout which slowed khan down, maidan landed some great right straights, uppercuts and hooks throughout, nice combos, good power, big heart and chin and had a high workrate. Have no problem with either, what scores did everyone else have? @CST80 yours will Be the next fight I watch.

Very fun brawl to watch from start to finish and full of inside fighting throughout. For the 1st 8 rounds guerrero just outhustled berto and roughed berto up on the inside and constantly threw to the body on the inside absolutely landed that left hand constantly against berto with berto only able to land the odd right uppercut or right hook, berto didn’t seem to have much urgency about them and didn’t fight on the inside. From rounds 9 - 11 berto seemed to step it up and up the workrate and throw the combos more often. Guerrero seemed to tire and start to feel the high pace. Berto was able to constantly land with the right uppercut when in the inside and looked like he was turning it around. In round 12 guerrero stepped on the gas again putting the beating on berto again roughing him up, landing on the inside, working the body and landing that left hand. Overall berto showed good speed, used the right uppercut particularly well, showed good heart and decently chin, displayed good accuracy, threw some nice combos in the later rounds and displayed a lot of toughness. Whereas guerrero worked at a good workrate, did the better inside work and especially to the body, landed some nice left crosses which got to berto throughout, displayed good ring iq and experience, nice accuracy, showed some good heart and chin, landed the better single shots and displayed constant aggression and pressure throughout. Good fight which guerrero more than deserved to win

Nice fight to watch from a technical point of view as it was quite the chess match at times in terms fine one waiting for the other to throw first in order to counter. Barriga controlled the outside well and was able to counter well and use his speed advantage to land and not get hit. Licona was able to land that big right hand which had More power than any of barrigas shots and in my opinion stunned him once or twice in the middle rounds. Licona didn’t be donmuch brilliantly but did everything at a good level whereas barriga excelled at different aspects but lacked in others. Same sort of fight throughout with licona doing more of the pressuring and barriga staying on the outside more and trying to come in and out of range and land his shots and it did work but licona was able to catch barriga at times. Overall licona showed good power, decent speed, good right hand, nice bodywork, decently pressuring, goodnchin and heart, showed patience throughout, good accuracy and seemed to follow a specific plan which worked well. Whereas barriga showed fast hand speed, nice accuracy, pinpoint left hand, nice bodywork especially the jab and straight to body, boxed well on outside, used his footwork well to get in and out of range and showed heart and decent chin. Close competitive and have no problem with either winning. @Chuck Norris
