Wilder couldn't land anything on Szpilka until round 9, and Szpilka is the same height as Usyk, southpaw, but 100 times slower and 1000 times less skilled. I don't think Wilder will be able to land a single good punch against Usyk unless Usyk tries to impress public and fights a very risky fight trying to knock Wilder out. If he fights a catious fight like he did agaionst Gassiev Wilder will never catch him.

By this definition, if it were true, then 24 stone Big Baby Miller is on course to clear out the heavyweight division in the next 12 months. Of course, it doesn’t always work like that though...

Grossly underratting Wilder, Wilder is stronger than most give him credit for.

Wilder and Whyte may have technically poor skills compared to the likes of Usyk and AJ but do not underestimate their ability to win a fight.

Wilder is extremely strong for his size and weight, ain't nobody going to bully Wilder. Wilder threw Ortiz across the ring like he was a teenage girl.

Fury didn't bully Wilder in anyway despite 45 pound weight advantage.

Wilder has a very strong chin... like VERY...not the best... but he ate Ortiz best shots and didn't hurt too much... and took Fury's best shots that once stopped Chisora on his stool.

Wilder's power is out of this world... if he lands on Usyk with just one punch... Usyk is out cold.

And Usyk ain't NO WHERE NEAR as illusive as Fury... he is there to be hit... an d he has been hit several times...

    Wilder just needs one shot.

Wilder was badly hurt against Ortiz and hurt against Molina. He was also knocked down hard by journeyman Harold Sconiers and was KO'ed in the amateurs by Russian cruiserweight. His chin isn't glass, but it isn't very good either. I'd say it's decent. And yes, if Wilder lands he will KO anybody. But he couldn't land ANYTHING on very poor version of Usyk in Artur Szpilka for 9 rounds, how he would land on Usyk? Fury was far from his best shape and still was able to avoid 99% of Wilder punches. The same version of Fury that beat Wlad would never got hit with those two-punch combo in the 12th round.

Didn’t hurt against Ortiz? Even you don’t believe that.

Until I see Usyk against a proper heavy contender like a Pulev or Whyte it's hard to judge. I would guess he is competitive and goes the distance.

Don’t disagree with a lot of that Aydamn, but in fairness to Usyk, thus far, he has also shown to have a fantastic chin. It is well known Gassiev for instance has the punching power of a heavyweight but yet he was another whom failed to the floor the skilful Ukrainian. Apart from one slip, he has never hit the canvas once in his pro career (despite some poster bizarrely and incorrectly suggesting the opposite on another thread), and it’s not like he’s never been caught. I’ve never ONCE seen him in any situation where I thought he was in genuine trouble. Wilder is not the biggest heavyweight and I would agree he’s pretty stable in that department - so why not Usyk? I’m not suggesting you think this for a moment, but some guys are just better and more resilient at taking shots than others - being a couple of inches taller and a stone or 2 heavier does not equate to having a great chin (Frank Bruno anyone?). I just think based on what I’ve seen, certainly in the chin department, Usyk could be just as every bit as resilient as anyone else in the heavyweight division - and it’s factors such as these that will make for fascinating watching when the bell first rings in a US arena come May 18th.

"The same version of Fury that beat Wlad would never got hit with those two-punch combo in the 12th round."

Keep telling yourself that. You are just in denial.... I have a bad feeling we will never stop hearing about the Klitchko Fury version... it will just become a scapegoat each time you don't think Fury performs well enough from hereon out.

Fury was in the best shape he could be for Wilder, plenty of preparation leading up to it. Yes Wilder missed a hell of a lot of shots, like i said it only takes ONE shot.. and he dropped Fury twice.

Usyk ain't getting up from those, and he will definitely get caught. Wishful thinking that Usyk will mysteriously avoid Wilder for 12 rounds.

Can Usyk hurt Wilder? I highly doubt it.... Ortiz can ****** bang.... Ortiz is acccurate and strong as **** with his punches.

Not only that, Ortiz accumulates punches on his opponents exactly like Usyk, at the optimum speed to land accurately and concuss the opponent.

Wilder was not badly hurt by Ortiz, get real.... he was dazed on his feet despite eating a BARRAGE of shots from Ortiz while being WIDE OPEN. It's like landing shots on your grandmother... she is unable to defend and you still couldn't put her down.

Wilder walked back to his corner promptly and without assistance... considering how hard Ortiz hits... I'd say that is credit to Wilders chin and recoup ability.

He didn't go down, and he walked to his corner unaided, in prompt time. How many shots did he take flush from ortiz in the barrage... come YOU COUNT THEM WITH ME! And Ortiz can bang right???? HE CAN BANG!!!!

In contrast to Ortiz that went down three times, needed help getting up... and had a long count as the fight was paused.

In contrast to Fury who was out the full ten seconds (and I mean the full ten seconds) before getting up and realising what planet he is on.

Wilder knew where he was, and he was even shaking his head to say " 2 legit 2 quit, I'm cool brah, I gotz this" whereas if you asked Fury where he was when he went down, you would likely get back silence and blank stares.

So actually, you are the one with belief problems kind sir.

It's not that I'm underrating Wilder, not in terms of his power anyway but neither am I being unreasonable in my prediction that he's not able to land that big right on Usyk, which we can surely both agree upon being the only way he can win this fight because, aside from athleticism (wherein they are roughly even), Usyk has him beat in every other area of note: hand speed, foot work, defense and ring IQ to name but a few whilst as far as chins go; Wilder's is perhaps a little better than average and Usyk's is largely untested.

Moreover I never said that Usyk was going to bully Wilder with his weight and even if it were possible he needn't look to do so anyway in order to win as I'm not sure how many of Usyk's recent fights you've actually watched but to suggest he gets tagged more often than Fury is frankly absurd; Fury was getting tagged by Pienetta very recently whilst Usyk's defensive movement and footwork is simply on another level (just watch Usyk vs Gassiev compared to Fury vs Wilder if you aren't convinced.) Deontay may be as strong as an ox but he isn't going to be able to walk through Usyk's punches for 12 straight rounds getting hit flush multiple times every time he wants to chance landing one of his big rights as eventually the sheer volume of punches landing clean will begin to wear Wilder down/weaken him and there will be scarce time for recovery as Usyk never stops throwing nor does he ever get tired of throwing punches

That said, fair play to Deontay if he finds his mark and puts Usyk to sleep but I think that you might also be overlooking some of Usyk's own skills whilst accusing me of overlooking (arguably) Deontay's (only) skill.

Yeah I agree, Usyk has a good chin... but we have so much data with Wilder I mean 39 KOs it doesnt matter if many of them were cans.... Dave Allen is a can but has a hell of a chin... these are still human beings... heavyweights... and 39KOs paints a clear picture.

We know how hard Ortiz hits from his performance against Dave Allen who has one of the best chins in the game. And Wilder took a lot of damage from Ortiz, Ortiz best shots... I mean imagine Ortiz mentality when he had Wilder wobbled... he was throwing at 110% because he is in a title shot against his nemesis and he is inches away in his mind.. from GLORY.

Despite all that... Wilder DID NOT GO DOWN! Wilder was wide open eating shots... and he didn't go down... walked to his corner unaided... with full faculties... he was dizzy but coherent/

Now we know Usyk is not known for power.... so based on the above... Wilder hits harder and likely has a better chin.... he won't be hurt by Usyk and he just needs one shot on Usyk to finish it.

I promise you he will land on Usyk it is inevitable... he lands on EVERYONE... and Fury is as illusive and rangy as you will ever get.

Whyte has a strong chance to beat Wilder because he goes to the body hard... and Wilder has a thin torso at 209 pounds and 6 ft 7.... doesn't matter how strong your core is physically you cannot absorb that body punishment without shutting down.

Gives Wilder a boxing lesson and stops him late. Wins very comfortably on points againt Fury. Firy has nowwr and Usyk is superior technically, Fury has nothing that can trouble Usyk apart from reach.I am in two minds about the AJ fight, weather usyk wins ob points or that AJs power will too much for Usyk. If Usyk allowed himself to get hit nearly as much as the Vellew fight then I will say KO win AJ.

I conceded that technically, Usyk has Wilder beat in most departments.

But I made it clear in my opening post that despite the boxing talent and prowess that Usyk has, Wilder's ability to win a fight can and will nullify it.

Wilder is top level in boxing, he isn't a can... and when Usyk fights top level guys, he rarely if ever KO's them... he takes them the distance and outpoints them.

So yeah maybe Usyk runs rings around Wilder just like Fury did, but Wilder is not slow... he is very fast, atheletic.. and explosive... he'll be made to miss... but that one or two shots will get through Usyk's slippery defence and Usyk will be out cold...

You know how it goes with Wilder.. just that tap to the head and the opponent is already falling down

Usyk ain't going to hurt wilder... if Fury and Ortiz couldn't put Wilder down. And Ortiz and Fury were put down 5 times between them.

Full respect to Usyk but I am just being realistic here with what Wilder brings to that fight. The game plan to beat Wilder is a body puncher like Whyte who can damage Wilder at his weakest points which will be his thin torso at 6 ft 7 and 209lbs..

100% beats the **** out Wilder and it’s 50/50 with Fury but AJ matter of time before he gets stopped.
