    Baysangurov is starting to get in some good digs on the body now as Brant's footwork decreases in speed. Baysangurov targeting Brant's ribs with the left, raking with it, thumb pointed skyward. Brant plays a little possum, then jumps on Baysangurov with quick left hooks and right hands. Baysangurov overwhelmed - and down again! He's up and Brant pounces on him, more flurries, Baysangurov not defending himself. Mark Nelson gets between them and waves it off.

    Power wasn't a huge factor in this fight (Brant would defeat Baysangurov 10/10, not due to power but due to superior timing, speed, and work rate even though Baysangurov is a good technician himself) but it did impact the outcome. With less pop, Brant still wins but has to settle for points. If you gave him serious elite power (instead of next to none) Baysangurov might have had a slim chance of pulling it out, but then Brant would probably be too smart to get with the kind of shots he did if he tasted big power early...

    Yep, but conformed to my pre-fight analysis.

    Brant - more of a boxer than a puncher, but at least can bust an eggshell if he put his mind to it.
    Baysangurov - pure boxer (except stylistically a ready-made foil to a boxer like Brant), not a puncher in the least.
