Looks like this will be Usyk’s first heavyweight fight.

I think it’s a great fight, Povetkin showed in the Joshua fight there was still fight in him yet, although let’s see what that KO done to him.

Povetkin has genuine power and is a skilled albeit aged boxer. Be interesting to see how Usyk handles him and how his chin holds up.

Could be an absolute classic. A win would announce Usyk as a major player at the weight, but it's a gamble because Povetkin is probably the most skilful guy Usyk could've picked.

Looks like they looking to put Vargas vs Brook on that card too, using the DAZN cash. But that fight is still being negotiated.

    Wow fair play to Usyk.

His handlers must have faith in his chin

Terrific fight, on paper a very hard fight to take in 1st fight at weight even though Povetkin is a few years past his best. I still fancy Uysk to win as his skillset is on another level from anyone Povetkins fought.

Very impressed with Usyk taking Povetkin as his first fight. I think he will keep stepping off from the jab and switching angles to stop Povetkin getting up close. He will do that for 12 rounds. Can’t see him stopping him but think it’ll be a UD for Usyk.

Respect to Usyk for taking this fight. The man means buisness.
In my opinion Usyk is going to demolish Povetkin, finish him off. This will be the last fight we see him in.

Ooh looking forward to this one.
Usyk isn't messing about, expect him to win but not a certainty.

Good fight. It's odd because I would favour Usyk far more against pretty much any other heavyweight outside of the main 3. Can't knock him at all and what a run of fights he is on.

Real fighter is this lad I hope he comes through it.

    Agreed.

    Huck
    Breidis
    Gassiev
    Bellew
Povetkin (that is a huge 1st fight at HW)

None of them at home, either. Ridiculous 18 months Usyk has had, absolutely incredible. His resume is going to be legendary.

Povetkin is the best box-puncher in the sport, but he is going to feel his age big time when Uysk puts his work rate on him.

    Usyk is the man!

I hope that Usyk does not put on much weight for heavyweight as if he does his reflexes and engine are likely to suffer as a result. I think he goes into f8ghts st CW around 15st, I don't think he should go beyond 15,7st.

    Agreed.

If the cut isn't too much for him now, he should stay around that.
