He only had a couple of fights at the time and I thought to myself "oh my god Klitscko is going to kill this guy, because he was talking a lot of **** at the time too" To be fair he got in there and handled himself accordingly and shocked everyone in the gym he was doing very well. I was back home in Morecambe & needed a sparring partner and I thought if he was good enough a sparring partner for Wlad then he's good enough for me. I won't say too much but what I will say is I hired him for 2 weeks of sparring and he went home to America after 1 day of sparring. I put him down 7 times in the first spar"
Until a second unbiased source confirms this story I'm going to assume it's just Fury telling tales to make himself look good.
I cant see him blatantly lying, I can see an exaggeration though, maybe 6 times or something. Fury when he puts power on his punches can bang, or quick enough to catch fighters unawares with sharp hard punches !
Just a story, with a most likely a hint of truth. But the timing alludes to the fact it's just downplaying miller as AJ's opponent
Fury was promising a first round K.O. against Wilder and he says he can easily beat Joshua Fury likes to run his mouth This story is as true when he said that he donated all the money from the Wilder fight. Before the fight he said that Wilder is a bum, after he got knocked down twice he said “Wilder is the biggest puncher in boxing history”
So Miller was competitive against a prime Wlad but a young Tyson Fury, probably no older than 22 when he claims this happened, dropped him 7 times in one round of sparring and sent Miller packing? I know Fury has had numerous issues with drugs and alcohol in the past, so smoking angel dust before interviews right after he seemingly resurrected his career doesn't bode well for his future.
Blatant lying. Hmm, I’m going to guess that he hasn’t given his purse away, which was a drum that he was banging.
I think Miller will be more competitive v AJ than against Fury because Fury`s movement will confuse the limited Miller whereas AJ will be right in front of him.
Fury hurt Wilder in the last round of their bout for the WBC title that`s why Wilder backed off, I Fury can stop Wilder in the rematch.
He might not have hurt him but he would have hitting Miller a lot which could have knocked off balance, Miller`s balance and stance is crappy really.
