Yes I remember him saying while he was still morbidly obese that Wilder is the most dangerous HW in the world due to the fact that he'll always be in the fight right up until the last 2 seconds of the 12th round with the power he has so yes, he has always thought highly of Wilder deep down.
Wilder spared miller as well and concussed him and miller had to go hospital. Miller claims he was dehydrated and that’s why he had to go hospital.
While him dropping Miller that many times seems unlikely when you look at Miller's early fights and see how bad he was then it's not exactly unbelievable that one of the best heavies in the world could school a novice. Miller even now is very, very easy to hit, he was probably walking into shots back then. As others have mentioned, Wilder also KO'ed Miller in sparring. Miller's resume is poor and he hasn't faced a single fighter we could regard as a puncher, makes you wonder what will happen when Joshua connects on his chin, which he will and do so with regularity. Only way this fight goes beyond 3 rounds is if Joshua decides to carry him for a few rounds.
The McDermott first fight is there for the whole world to see that fight stopped three people I was sat with never to watch boxing again the cards lie the video does not Intimidation / dodgy cards that's all that stops him having his 0 gone that is all
Welll am sure someone will ask Miller in his next interview, let's see what he says. All the other posts on here are just bull**** if your either pro fury or against fury you have your own agenda.
Could be true, could be BS. Who knows when it comes to Fury? Thing is, Miller, even now, is extremely immobile and easy to hit, and when Fury sits down on his shots he's got a lot of power. His "feather-fistedness" stems from his tendency to pot shot on the move and not commit to punches that put him in the firing line, yet it's telling that even when he's not putting much on shots he still marks up fighters' faces and has them quitting on their stool and becoming gunshy. Almost everyone that spars Fury remarks on his surprisingly decent punching power, including no-nonsense guys like Rico Verhoeven, who have no reason to lie. I don't doubt that if Fury had decided to lay into a novice Miller that he'd be dropping him left right and centre. Miller is tough, but he isn't Oliver McCall levels tough, and has in fact already been rocked by guys like Washington and Filipovic (a non-boxer). It's not hard to see him walking into every shot Fury threw at him and getting his helmet buzzed, to be honest.
He got a gift in the first McCermott fight, complete robbery there which flies in the face of the Fury victim mentality. McDermott won fair and square which took away what would have been the pinnacle of his career. He was also given a nice little walk around the ring after the 2nd KD in the Wilder fight which gave him more time to recover, was also allowed to hold his arm out and flick the jab from the elbow throughout the fight. Lets not fall into thus underdog mentality, Fury gets as much preferential treatment as any other boxer with his earning potential despite how he and his family have tried to spin it over the years (us vs them etc).
Agree but Fury seemingly still needs to make outrageous statements and tell tales to create publicity and boost his ego, whether that's a sign of insecurity or if he just craves the spotlight I don't know.
