    Walcott
    Charles
    Patterson
    Schmeling

In terms of greatness, I might switch Charles and Walcott

Oh I am definitely looking at how you would rate them in terms of greatness/legacy/resume in terms of an ATG ranking

I rate all 4 of them on the same tier with very little separating them, I am
Just curious if others rate them close as I do and/or what order you would place them in

    To get specific, in greatness:

    14. Charles
    16. Walcott
    17. Patterson

Schmeling does not break my top 20 list, but he's just outside of it most likely. Very close.

    Charles
    Walcott
    Patterson
    Max

You can definitely make the case for Jeresey Joe being the better heavyweight than Charles but I like Ezzard's overall career better.

I rate Charles over Walcott, there series was pretty much equal, but Charles had much more of a title reign, and generally did more. I think Schmeling is right around that level too, considering he beat a better Louis than either fought, maybe Schmeling should be on top, I'm really debating that. I'd probably put Patterson last, I think he just lacks the stand out wins the others have, and just a bit vulnerable.

As for fantasy match ups. I could see Patterson Walcott going either way, depending on who's having the better night. Walcott certainly had the power to hurt him, and the ability to catch him, but Patterson could hurt Walcott too, and would force it more.
I'd favor Charles would beat Patterson most of the time, great boxer and a very tough man, with enough power to tell.
I think I'd favour Schmeling over Patterson, I think he'd find a way to land and make it tell.
Schmeling Walcott, I think I'd give an edge to Schmeling.
I'd give the edge to Charles against Schmeling.

    Charles
    Schmeling
Walcott (if we dismiss the early part of Walcott’s career)
    Patterson
