Wilder is the poor man sucker of boxing, his Managers have seriously shortchanged him throughout his career Tyson Fury has signed a Mega $Millions deal with a US Broadcaster Joshua makes $20Million a fight & looks like doing $30Million Vs Miller Miller himself is set to make around $7Million Vs Joshua Dyllian Whyte just laughed off a $6Million offer from Uncle Eddie Klitschko came out of retirement & made $6Million Joseph Parker made $7Million Charles Martin got $5Million All the while Deontay Wilder is getting paid relative peanuts purses of $1.5 to $2.5Million It won’t be long before Joyce, Ajagba & Dubois surpass Wilder in the earnings stakes
I don’t see how Wilder cannot be looking at what AJ will earn v Miller and Fury’s new deal and wonder ‘what have I done wrong’? You have non American fighters going to America and earning way more than he does.

I remember this board being all about "Haymon fighters get paid", and that was the whole reason for signing with him.... Wilder, Thurman, Spence, Davis, Charlo's, etc..... none of these guys are earning what they should be. Worse yet, they are only fighting once per year. Wilder is potentially even out of the Fury payday now that Fury has gone with TopRank. He needs to get the hell out of PBC.
I think AJ and Fury should start a private foundation called the AJ & Tyson Fury Foundation for Unknown Underpaid B Sides which they can both donate a very small percentage of their purses to 2 or 3 times a year to help cover Donkey's training expenses and ensure that he is still able provide for his family.
Considering Wilder doesn’t have a promoter I think he earns plenty of money. Joshua has a dedicated promoter with a TV deal, so that makes a big difference. That said Wilder likely keeps more of his money, since he only pays DiBella a flat fee and in my opinion under pays Breland. I don’t know what percentage Hearn takes from Joshua, but maybe somebody from the UK can chime in. Also, I hope Joshua is paying Cunningham a percentage, since he really built up Joshua’s brand.
Wilder is a simple man and as long as he has enough money for his bling and fancy clothes he is happy...
Nice of jay dees, al Haymon and Shelley Finkel to do this pro bono... I think Matchroom take 20% on most promotions, but let's face it AJ will have a bespoke deal. I think AJ probably owns some of Matchroom now to be honest, certainly the US venture.
Thanks. That explains why Joshua never second guesses Hearn, since he’s a co-owner of the promotional company. Also, according to Russ Anber Haymon takes 20% while all of the others on Wilder’s team take flat fees on a fight by fight basis. I still think Oscar could’ve did a lot for him, but they just couldn’t agree on things.
It's speculation on my part mate, but both going by things Eddie Hearn has said and basic commercial logic it would make sense.
