What if there is a £50million purse bid on the table for Wilder Fury. 40% equates to more than his top rank deal...

And the belt on the line which if he wins he gets the shot at AJ and probably 50/50. Unless he’s got an ace up his sleeve not sure I see the logic here unless it’s a cash out deal fighting knockovers before a lucrative Wilder rematch or AJ fight

How do you work that out? That's 20 million pounds. His top rank deal guarantees him 16 million pounds per fight BEFORE gate money and UK tv money. BT ain't paying him peanuts and Fury could do decent gates with ESPN promoting him. That means he could equal or even surpass your 40% fighting an Ortiz or Dillian Whyte, with another four of the same paydays guaranteed. A complete no brainer.

Probs just shows you how little money fighting Wilder is actually worth if he has taken this deal..

Funny the other two can have their deals yet everyone moans about Fury getting one..

Good on him plus we all know Wilder's team had Canelo's judges on the payroll and a super soft matt ready to go in the rematch so it would make sense to get his own big time deal so he has some more leverage in negotiation for the rematch..

Sephiroth Rising may not have been far off the mark when he said Fury's wife didn't want him fighting Wilder again. David Haye said he had "shooting pains" up and down his back for weeks after getting cracked by Wilder and that was sparring and he wasn't dropped. Who knows what issues Fury had after that KD.

David Haye would have back spasms if he stubbed his toe against a lego brick. He probably knew then he body was giving up.

Fury 'appeared' fine following the Wilder match and finished the round stronger. It's being able to stand there taking punishment when the alarm bells should be ringing (Dave Allen)

I don’t understand why people are assuming this fight won’t happen? It’s still due to go to purse bids if a deal isn’t done...ESPN aren’t going to spend all this money on Fury fighting bums without a world title...

I hope it does happen. It’s sad for the fans if it doesn’t.

The other day it looked like

    Joshua vs Miller
    Fury v Wilder
    Parker v Chisora
    Whyte v Breazeale
    Usyk v Povetkin

    Today I’ve seen

    Joshua vs Miller
    Fury v Jennings
    Wilder v Kownacki
    Usyk v Helenius

    !!!

The WBC have ordered this fight. There’s no ducking out of it.

They may well do. The deal today seems to complicate it but hopefully it still happens

Serious question, what if DAZN or showtime win the purse bid? Is Fury going to be allowed to fight on their channels? If Top Rank do will Wilder be allowed to fight on ESPN (he’s actually a free agent but “loyal to sho”).

If someone pulls out of this and blames the network it’s nothing more than a shameful duck.

My understanding of it is that if Wilder does not agree to fight after the purse bids have been done, then he’ll be stripped? If Fury doesn’t fight him then i hate to say it but it’s a duck of sorts. He says that he wants that WBC belt, it’s the only belt he hasn’t won and he’s more than capable of beating Wilder. I expect this fight to be made and in the diary for May time.

Just to add, just seen your post above with the tweet. If it’s definitely in the diary for September then I wouldn’t begrudge either fighter a tick over fight in the meantime.
