Agreed; I was also pleased he at least avoided the linguistically illogical use of that expression, which our American friends and cousins prefer to use; and used the proper Anglo, accurate meaning idiom, instead

I think fury has had his eyes on the American market since he started boxing, singing Aerosmith after winning the world title was genius and strategic marketing at it's best, and the foundation for what success will follow in the US, don't forget he's a traveller and they are on the ball/and few steps ahead, they have to be, don't they?
I think he's totally earned his position but it's all been completely planned for along time. Like him or not he's making his mark on the sport.

 

It's a great deal for him and his family. - I bet Uncle Peter must feel a bit sick though with all the cash he'll be missing out on - but in a surprise to nobody he's largely come back for the dough. This deal screams that out and I have no problem with him wanting to earn big bucks but he can't really complain about people calling him out on his whole legacy/fans/pride schtick.

And to be clear you can fight for pride/legacy and cash but he made a point of saying he didn't care about money.

 

Not caring less about the money doesn't mean you say no when someone drops and big bag of cash into your lap, he's saying he's not driven by money, not that he's an idiot.

But lets be honest Fury is never very consistent with what he says, he's been caught out right lying more than once.
