So you think Floyd was a big welterweight comparatively?

Floyd's much bigger than Pac and JMM. There's a reason he refuses to reveal his fight night weight.

I prefer personal responsibility. Jeff Mayweather went to college and Floyd Sr. went to prison.

Personal responsibility is great. Still has zero to do with what happens in the boxing ring.

I guess you can make a case for either one! I don’t personally and find both 15-25, with Mayweather slightly ahead. But the gulf is narrow and could be argued either way with both in the 10 range. I wouldn’t argue against it to strongly unless it was a fanboy with an agenda and an inconsistent framework....but Max lends no credence or respectability to the argument. I would look for a new slant

How is his argument poor. Its basic boxing knowledge? Pound for pound Pacquiao is a greater fighter.

Theres a reason we have weight classes in this sport.

I'll give you an example. Who is the better pound for pound fighter Murat Gassiev or Ray Leonard? The answer is Leonard is 20 times the fighter Gassiev is p4p. But if they fight the only possible outcome to the fight is Leonard finishes the bout flat on his back.

Being better H2H does not mean automatically you are a better fighter. If it did Gassiev is better than Leonard.

As Kellerman says this is pretty "basic" stuff here.

So...am I supposed to change my pick now? Or will you give me a cue later on? I mean wow! I never thought of it that way before. I bet this newfangled p4p thing might just catch on and be the wave of the future.

You are free to form your own opinion. But there is a reason why nobody has successfully forced Kellerman to climbdown. It's because weight classes exist for a reason.

Are you referring to the multiple weight classes that Pac lost in? Or the multiple weight classes that Floyd didn’t lose in?
