I am confused with everyone telling Joshua to be himself. When he tried to trash talk, Whyte and miller accuse him of acting up because of the camera. When he is being a 'nice guy', everyone says he is being fake so who is the real Joshua?

The real AJ IMO was the one who went all road man on Dominic B. Was probably the only time I've found him entertaining outside the ring.

If you meet him away from the cameras he's completely different to the 'AJ' persona we see on screen. He's a real history buff, speaks mainly in Medieval English and he likes to dress in the manner of a 16th century gentleman of leisure. He doesn't own a car, preferring to ride his horse on his country estate. Doesn't own a TV or even a radio, he spends the day playing the lute, practicing Archery and eating Roast Venison and sugared Almonds. Of course Dillian Whyte, as a regular on the Hackney jousting circuit, knows this full well, and this is why he's so scathing about him and tells him to drop the act.

He started on the wrong road and to survive in that world he had to be a certain person but so are thousands of others wanting to survive on the streets, BUT his final lottery number came in cos he decided to take up a sport of which he excelled in. By all accounts he nearly F’d that up too while he was training with GB but he stuck it out and bingo!

To then get the most he could out of that situation he knew he had to change his whole demeanour but under that new skin is a guy who wants to come out and kick some ass the old way ( you can tell ). Whyte etc know this and they play on it but it all depends on how long he keeps it up before he just says F it! I’m guessing the £ will determine when that happens though.

Put Whyte and Miller in same situation and they would understand more. You can’t be gangster and believe you’ll get the support you need to be a global money machine.

Good on AJ he deserves what he has made for himself. Let the others prove themselves by stopping him in the ring it’s as simple as that cos bad mouthing him counts for nothing.

At the end of the day, if he was stepping into the ring with Wilder or Fury we wouldn't need to or give a damn about what type of personality he is.

As a boxing fan - I'd rather see him box the best and do his talking inside the ring. Couldn't care if he's like Mother Theresa or the worst person in the world away from the ring.

The real Joshua was a bit of a badman who is now doing good. People change. I used to be a mouthy guy...but i grew up like Joshua!

He doesnt talk smack...he lets his fists do all the talking.

Come June 1st Miller wont be able to talk **** no more, his jaw will be busted up!

To survive that world? The guy is from f*cking Watford. It's hardly South Central LA... being tall and black would have been enough.

What was he doing, picking up a 9 bar and shotting to a few crusty teenagers in an alley near the gym. Scary stuff.

He's a thug that made it to the top. If he wasn't so dedicated to boxing, and with the team and resources he was given, he'd be in prison.

He is a street thug through and through, and a bully. Media trained to a T, but you saw at the presser all the grimey attitude leaking out.

"Is dat your mom dere, what you saying momzy, you good yeah... blows kisses"

"I pay your momz rent bruv" "bow down to me"

Looks at Millers entourage "You come up here den, come den talking all dat talk *screwface*"

"Dillian is an eediat you know, I tried to show him respect yeah..." "Trust me, none of dese heavyweight are on my level *breathes angrily*"

Joshua was actually born in the favelas of Rio de Janeiro. He never knew his father and his mother died when he was six years old. He ran around robbing in an effort to survive. He was a drug dealer and pimp when he was nine, his killed his first victim at ten. He was the neighbourhood assasin at eleven, but the police had him marked and he wouldn't pay them off so they and a Death Squad to get rid of him. He escaped on a boat to South Africa.

For the next three years he was the Kingpin of a gang of Nigerians in Jo'Burg's worst slums but there was too much law and order there for his liking so he moved on to Mogadishu in Somalia, where he extracted protection money from the pirates and terrorists. They all feared AJ. This is where AJ first converted from Catholicism to Islam, which came in handy for taking local wives.

He then left Somalia, there's really nothing to do there, and landed in Europe, first in Sicily where he was hired by the Sicilian mafia to make drug runs to Albania. He was sixteen years old by then, and ran a pimping operation trafficking NIgerian girls into Europe in exchange for guns, which he stockpiled. After killing a whole crew of Albanian gangsters, he took over the gun running rackets in the Balkans. But Interpol's anti-organized crime branch were breathing down his neck, he was Public Enemy #1, so he made his way to London to lay low and launder his illicit profits. But the masonic City of London bankers took him for a ride and his money disappeared into the cyberspace of international finance. AJ might be a cold killer gangster from da streets but those bankers are real crooks.

So he went to slums of Watford where he bought some weed and started boxing.

I think you got the nail on the head. He always looks uncomfortable but to be fair he looks very comfortable in the ring and that's where it counts.

    So true.

But, his only mistake was in his past and it annoys the carp out of me when people constantly bring this stuff up, on anyone doing well not just AJ.

It's the high end of a career that most have only dreamed of achieving but didn't sadly.

But to constantly be reminded of it makes him naturally cautious in what he does, because he know's that there is always going to be that reminder from somebody.
And that is the sad part, never being allowed to forget your past because people are obsessed with it.

How about just saying, well done fella you done great for yourself, i'm happy for you...

As a fight fan, i hope miller knocks his asre out and shakes things up!!!
