Abel wasn't with Joyce when Joyce WAS looking for the fight. He was under Hayes promo and Ortiz was being looked at . Joyce may be fighting differently a little under Sachez which is why he wants a few more fights or after this one ? I would take Shaeffers words over Sanchez's under these circumstances ,i think everyone around Joyce feels he would win that fight and I agree. Being a southpaw is more concerning to Sanchez more then Ortiz himself.
You also think Miller is going to beat AJ which IS an easy fight to pick ,so should you really be laughing at a pretty competitive fight ?
If he's not ready now a couple of from now wont make a difference. Joe is highly experienced and he doesn't have time to waste. Chuck him in at the deep end, sink or swim he has nothing to lose its not like he is going to improve much he's 33.
He has a career to lose though? Managed correctly he's maybe good enough to make a title challenger and with it life changing money. Getting sparked out by the dangerous and still tricky Ortiz in his next fight would pretty much end that. Whereas fighting two more decent opponents and honing his style could have him facing Ortiz in 9 months or so with a much better chance. Ortiz is right.
Ortiz will start to exist when he stops fighting bums and starts fighting other contenders instead of waiting for another payout..
YDKSAB AND you have issues to read AND understand what other people are writing. I wrote Miller vs. AJ is competitive and i give Miller a much better chance to beat AJ than any of those old shot fighters like Wlad, Povetkin, Takam, Molina or those small tiny fighters like Parker. I gave a lot of reasons. Joyce vs. Ortiz is a mismatch right now. Joyces defense is awful and he would get KTFO like he was in the amateurs.
Rubbish. If he's not ready now, he won't be ready at any time in his career. What comes out of Abel's mouth is getting worse and worse. Joe Joyce is coming towards the end of his good years. He's learnt everything there is to learn and I have no doubt that experience will allow him to pummel both Stiverne and Ortiz to the canvas. Yes, he's not the best mover. But neither is Ortiz. Who's more skillful though? Joyce is. He's got the amateur experience to show it. All this hate on Joyce is just garbage. I'm going to put my neck on the line and say that if Joyce and Wilder meet, Joyce will beat him on points. Joyce is more awkward than some think he is. You don't get all these amateur medals unless you know what you are doing.
Walks forward square on, brings his right leg forward with the right hand, he's getting nailed soon if they don't sort it..Its Horrific
