What would make you score a round 10-8 to a fighter even when no knockdown was scored?

Any clear examples you can think of?

I would score 10 - 8 when it's a total domination or beat down and the other fighter cannot impose their will in any way, but is not defenseless enough for a stoppage.

Any examples you can think of that meet that criteria?

The second half of Lacy/Calzaghe, Duran/Moore or Toney/Barkley were comprised mostly of 10-8 rounds.

It wasn`t under that scoring system but an example would be Ali/Frazier 1 both rounds 11 and 15 would be 10-8 rounds under the 10 point must system.

Round 11 certainly was one I was thinking of. Round 15 is exempt from this though because it did include a knockdown.

I don't remember which ones as it has been awhile but I found that a couple of the MAB Hamed rounds were 10 8 in MAB's favor.

yes I believe rd 15 could have been a 10-7 under the 10 point must system. The knockdown was 1 point and then a 2 minute pillar to post beating.

I was going to use that exact example. (Round 11)

An obvious example would have to be Mayweather vs Gatti, too one sided and you can have 2 rounds that could be scored a 10-8 round, besides the round when the KD happened.

Possibly the 5th round of Camacho - Rosario

    Khan-Maidana round 10.

Khan was battered from pillar to post and somehow didn’t go down.

A very recent example, round 7 of Thurman vs. Lopez. I could see that as 10-8 even though Thurman remained standing the whole round.

Possibly round 5 or 12 of Leonard-Hearns II.....

Conversely, there are also rounds where a knockdown is scored and I'll still score it 10-9.
