Yes Joshua sold a bit of herbal cannabis when he was younger, I'm not sure where your moral compass points but to me selling a bit of green as a kid is far less potentially damaging that taking an artificial enhancement in a combat sport where people can be killed. Both illegal, but potential consequences in different league to me so scorn placed accordingly.
Herbal cannabis lmao...people wont hear you. They act like Joshua was moving Kilos of brown when in reality he shot 20 bags of green here and there!
I have lived in or around London most of my life, and in certain group kids see it as an easy was to make a £100 a week or so or to cover what they spend on it. I really isnt a big deal here and as much as I would hate if my kids ended up peddling a bit of green I would treat it far far differently if they were selling an addictive or highly damaging substance. Its not right to sell weed but its the same as calling a kid who stole a few Kitkats from a shop a career burglar.
Interesting. Wonder what the offer is. Had to laugh at people calling Fury a ducker for signing with ESPN. If the platform are giving him 20 million dollars per fight, they obviously want him in against the best in each of his five fights. This isn't DAZN knowingly operating at a loss in the hope of becoming sustainable one day. This is a huge, successful network searching for immediate results.
On a more serious note; has anyone heard from Tony Hayers? I sincerely hope he's okay. We've had our disagreements, yes, but I don't wish any badness on the man. Appears he's taken the news of Fury's deal even worse than I first imagined.
I don’t really care what network it’s on or what the offer is. As long as we get the best vs the best. DAZN bringing us top fights, PBC are and now if ESPN want to join in then you get no arguments from me.
I'm fine thanks; glad to know you're still thinking of me. As I've said elsewhere the deal isn't exactly bad news or good news until we know how it pans out in terms of making fights. If Fury avoids the Wilder rematch, never fights Joshua and is next seen in a half empty American venue tapping his way to a decision against Manuel Charr whilst his UK fans tune in in their literal tens of thousands in the middle of the night back home then it's a failure. If the deal is used to make the biggest fights possible then great. We'll wait and see.
I’m ashamed to admit it, but I agree with every word. The proof will be very much in the pudding with this Fury deal. I’m waiting to see what direction they take before making a judgement.
Surely ESPN want to make a big HW fight. I would be amazed if Fury isn't fighting Wilder or AJ sometime this year.
Correct. My guess is surely ESPN aren't stupid enough to give a heavyweight 80 million pounds, without devising a solid plan to land the biggest fights in the division? It appears they're already throwing money at Wilder. They're certainly now fully committed long term while Showtime and DAZN are working on a fight by fight basis. With ESPN, Showtime and DAZN all currently in play with the top three, it may come down to which two networks are quickest to work together. Or, which network can prize away one of the other top two guys. Best case scenario IMO; imagine ESPN signed up Wilder and AJ long term. Neither have contracts in America it seems. How brilliant would that be? Although I'm sure AJ signing for ESPN is extremely unlikely.
What are you on about??? Tony’s already told us that Fury isn’t popular and we’re barmy for thinking that big money fights can be made without Joshua
