I know that we are in a boxing forum ( my favortite sport) but it's just a mention that GSP annouced his retirement from MMA today. Georges have always been a class act and a really good human being. FYI, go listen his unbelivable interview with Joe Rogan (podcast) GSP is smart and funny !
How many times has this guy retired? Is this a joke? Because it's extremely boring now man, the guy retired ten times already...
Heartbreaking for me, I was dying to see him fight Khabib or Woodley, got me interested in MMA in 2009
I think he saw Cain make his comeback and thought twice then three times and called it a career! This younger dude are bigger stronger and faster!
George epitomizes class and respect ,unusual in a sport so brutal. He was not only a fighter but a role model. Live well and enjoy your hard earned retirement.
A sport is something you do for enjoyment. Do you know many boxers who enjoy getting hit in the head ? And would they do it in their spare time ?
It is his first retirement. He did not fight for 4 years..but he always said that he was not retired...he wanted to clean the sport (steroid) and he had some problems with Dana White because of that.
Is he a real fighter? I thought he was some B movie action actor who also had a small fighting role in one of the Captain America movies?
