With fast car now saying he wants his own legacy is his World domination project possible??

All his shows are absolute kaka ,home and away....

The AJ casuals started to turn ....If the flagship boxer AJ loses i cant see this ending in anything but capitulation ...All his decent fighters have grown old together and i dont really see the younger stars being pushed along ??..

How can you take over Europe and USA all at once??? it is all quantity over quality imo

Do we really need a thread for every time Eddie opens his mouth?

World domination is possible but it will be very hard. I don’t expect him to come close to it.

    'AJ casuals started to turn'

Exactly how is this quantified? Unless someone can show me AJ is less popular now than he was say 12 months ago then I really think that claim needs putting to bed.

I predicted Hearn would get backed into a corner before long. Paying some fighters so much that only PPV will do and Sat night fight nights are the dregs. Even supposed strong cards are rubbish. Smith vs Ham N Eggington is a joke fight and as usual it's being talked up as a good scrap. Warren has put better shows on in recent months which is hilarious given his paper thin roster

I believed it was possible when he set out to conquer America, and wished him the very best because American boxing was doing so poorly at the time. However, I now believe it's impossible. While Eddie is doing very well for himself, he's very stretched and it opens the door for his competitors to capitalise. There's just too many boxers and too much money out there.

In the UK, Warren will never be able to take on Hearn with PPV's, because sky are a million miles ahead and Hearn has superior capital at his disposal. Although with Eddie's head turned towards America, it's made the standard of his Saturday fight nights drop and opened the door for Warren to deliver the better Saturday night shows. This must be Warren's focus!

In America, Hearn has awoken the beast which is great for boxing and he deserves huge credit here. Promoters are so egotistical and competetive that they will do anything to halt Hearn taking over. This has made promoters and networks up their game tenfold and only the fans can win here. They're even on the verge of eradicating PPV in the states. For all the self praise we give UK boxing, America now looks like the place to be for fans with the DAZN and ESPN affordable subscriptions looking very attractive, while we continue to be ripped off.

To summarise briefly; no. Hearn will not be able to take over world boxing because he inadvertently inflames the competition. Subsequently, for fans, it's brought us a golden era so although I give Hearn a lot of stick, I think he deserves huge credit too for bringing boxing on.

Boxing is fantastic at the moment at home and abroad, in comparison to certain eras. If we can just eradicate PPV like they're attempting in the states, we're laughing!

I think it's based off of social media reactions
It's true to say more question AJ these days but impossible to say if they were ever fans

He is still imensley popular but remember us Brits do like to hammer our own at some stage

    He's doing well.

Lets not forget how the boxing scene was in the uk when he came in and how it wasn't all plain sailing for him. Who knows if its a success but it won't be overnight especially in the US which is so fragmented and the smaller euro shows which is a long term project.

This is the problem with boxing these days. Promoters want to be all up in the media and in the press conferences and in the music videos.

He’s done great and has been a shot in the arm for British boxing these past few years. He’s spreading himself way to thin through his own obsession to grow the brand though and could potentially unravel all his good work.

I used to work for a comedy club chain called Jongleurs. They were really successful and even had a TV show. Comedy itself was thriving off the back of the popularity of Peter Kay. Instead of consolidating on what they had and continue to put strong bills on, they got greedy. They opened loads more clubs all over the UK. They didn’t respect the clubs that were already established in these places and ultimately there simply wasn’t enough quality comics to fill all these clubs every weekend. The quality nosedived, audiences stopped going, the clubs died off and Jongleurs went bust from being worth over £40m only a few years before.

I appreciate that was on a tiny scale and it’s like comparing the co-op cola to Coca Cola, but they’re making similar mistakes imo

Hearn said it himself...He has his people all over social media gauging reactions to his fighters and how popular a fight will be...This is why he put Froch v Groves on at Wembley and is why AJ is now NOT fighting at Wembley..

Obviously AJ is still very popular but even #MatchroomFC will admit (they wont) that momentum has ground to a halt and its no longer a given to sell out 80k v any old bum...

Eddie already has a great legacy and has done wonders for the game in the UK and has forced thelikes of Haymon and Aram to act in the US no coincidence boxing has become more interesting in america.
