    Siar Ozgul vs. Chris Adaway

    Round 1: 10-9 Ozgul
    Round 2: 10-9 Ozgul
    Round 3: 10-9 Ozgul
    Round 4: 10-9 Ozgul
    Round 5: 10-9 Ozgul

Almost the same scenes as before. But Ozgul dropping his output a bit, slowing a bit down and not as much head to head action as before. But Adaway still moving a lot so not necessary to go to war here. He's still landing the cleaner work.

Ozgul pumping heavily in the corner. Might be gassing a bit.

    Round 1: 10-9 Ozgul
    Round 2: 10-9 Ozgul
    Round 3: 10-9 Ozgul
    Round 4: 10-9 Ozgul
    Round 5: 10-9 Ozgul
    Round 6: 10-9 Ozgul

Ozgul again starting very aggressive, pumping the jab to the body and throwing some looping overhands; uppercut at the inside missed. Straight right hand to the top by Ozgul, Adaway working the jab. Big right hand by Ozgul, Adaway feeling the power for sure. Also few good body shots by Ozgul. Adaway moving out for the rest of the round, he doesn't want more of that but got caught at the ropes. Adaway landing a good body shot seconds before the bell.

Both men looking winded in the 6th & 7th, from where I tuned in.

Adaway takes some getting rid of, with only half a dozen stoppage losses in nearly tenfold as many pro bouts. Still, though, with a bit more sharpness it seems like Ozgul could force a stoppage by targeting Adaway's cuts.

Ozgul looking for one big right-hand-over-top kibosh, with lengthy gaps of inactivity between as he stalks in his fists-by-ankles gorilla stance - and that isn't going to bag him the stoppage here. Going to have to settle for a shutout.

Not a lot of clean work. Both men gassed and swinging wide and missing a lot.

    80-72 Ozgul

I believe all the supporting bouts on this card are being scored in customary small-hall UK fashion, ie by the referee instead of a panel of three judges - so probably up to Lee Cook to issue the (likely 80-72) verdict here. Most likely the main event, however, being for a title, will have 3 judges.

Yep, scored by referee Lee Cook, except he must've found an even round in there, as his scorecard is read as "80-73". :nusenuse:

Şiar interviewed on the ring apron. Tough understanding him, with his thick native Turkish accent blended with a Hackney dialect. Gist seems to be he didn't feel he learned too much from boxing Adaway tonight, but anytime you are staying on your toes and in rhythm for several rounds (..."going boom-boom-boom" with a series of side to side leans & weaves) it benefits you.

Then something about thanking Jesus, and something about difficulties making the weight limit at 140 (tonight's contest was his move up to welterweight), and he used to feel very unpleasantly hungry in the attempt.

This is for the vacant WBO European welterweight title.
