He’s Georgian, and one of my favorite journeymen on the scene. He actually gives it his all usually, but he’s extremely unskilled, overweight and out of shape and is quite a hilarious sight if you ever get a chance to actually watch him. I think the second half of that fight must’ve been composed entirely of holding and posturing, which is disgusting considering Zura looks like a baby bear.

    Round 9

Federici has a nasty cut opened up on the bridge of his nose from a hard Djeko jab. Dripping thickly. Djeko is letting his arms sway as though weighted by his sides, pivoting away from a Federici lurching attack, then bringing the right hand up in surprise uppercut, banging Federici under the chin and forcing him to hold. Djeko showboating a lot now, flapping his arms out at his sides in a full bird-of-prey wingspan display. Jabs for Djeko can't miss, and poor Federici meanwhile can't get close enough to land.

    10-9 Djeko

    88-83 Djeko

The ring announcer just said "champion vs. champion" again to hype up the crowd for round ten. "LET'S MAKE SOME NOISE!"

Buddy. C'mon. [insert Sean Bean meme image macro] one cannot simply throw around the phrase "champion versus champion" in boxing [/insert Sean Bean meme image macro]

I mean TECHNICALLY it is though. I believe Federici is the Mediterranean champion of one of the organizations and Djeko is the title holder in this bout

    Round 10

Federici putting in work, trying in vain to lay that one big game-changing overhand right on Djeko, but just unable to reach the whole foot skyward he needs to send it from his slouched over stance to where Djeko's tucked chin rests as he stands upright on his tippy-toes. Djeko is fending him off with jabs, targeting his cut nose, and occasionally falling atop him with his right arm splashing over his backside. Very sloppy down the stretch. At the final bell Federici leaps up on the ropes in celebratory fashion...thinking he ...won? :dunno

    10-9 Djeko

    98-92 Djeko

Yeah, they are IBO Continental and IBF Mediterranean cruiserweight titlists respectively. But those accolades do not justify using that phrase. :ohno

This one isn't for Djeko's belt. Non-title, just a tuneup before he defends against Matty Askin.

Commentators think it was a clear shutout for Djeko. I think Federici definitely could've bagged any or all of the first three. :nusenuse:

Crowd booing? They really thought (as the Roman Tyson himself did) that Simone Federici actually won this?

Tambwe can't be too proud of that performance. He talked a ton of smack at the weigh-in and in the lead-up, promising a KO..

Alright well my gf just walked in the door, saw that I was on my laptop watching boxing, pouted coquettishly, and said "Oh. But I have something for you..."

So, um, yeah. Not scoring this last bout. @Somachenko @Boxingfan2 or whoever is watching, have at it.

Sorry I missed this too, I've had a frantic day, dealing with legal crap, nothing serious, just dotting some i's and crossing some t's. Barely had time to think.
