He rarely through them though. Very rarely would you see a power right hand. He actually degressed by the time he fought Lewis ,he became more stagnate. The right body shot ,uppercut ,followed by the left hook was not done enough. Joshua can spring the right hand much more followed by a flurry , Morrison combos were more compact but he was also 6'2 but they came in long droughts , I just see AJs combos do more destructive damage ,part of that is there faster and the opponents are not ready for the blitz they are hit with..

If I added in the jab and just did overall skills its certainly going to Joshua. better jab as well also harder to hit and far better distance gauger which makes him more accurate. Morrison used his left hand more as a measuring stick, probing it to get closer for the left hooks , but AJ has a straight shot and hits you with sniper like shots from distance as well. The outside fighting isn't even close ,its overwhelmingly in AJ's favor where the inside fighting is more or less on an even playing field . the punches themselves are about equal. but the skills come off better with Joshua.

Tommy does have the better punch in the left hook but he's not more skilled. Theres to many gaps with range, footwork, speed etc...

AJ the more skilled of the two.

Don't know about Morrison fighting better opposition either I mean apart from a prime Lewis, Ruddock and Mercer (2 of which he lost) the only other notable people he fought were past their primes Foreman and Thomas.

Is that really better than going undefeated against Wlad, Povetkin, Whyte, Parker and Breazeale and stopping 4 of the 5?

Exposed? No . AJ stopped both of them. If you meant gave a competitve fight and won a number rounds then yes.

Wlad came into the fight physically in the best shape that he had done in years. The last time Wlad fought at a lighter weight almost 10 years prior.

Compare that to a very out of shape and even older Foreman who was 30lbs heavier than what he was in his prime or P.Thomas whom had lost 4 of his last 5 fights going into the Morisson fight.

If you think Morrison is more skilled than Joshua you should probably go watch a less complicated sport like snooker or archery because boxing is clearly beyond your understanding.

Yes Morrison had skills he put his shots together very nicely, but I could say that about David Price. Boxing is far more than just looking good throwing punches.

Joshua's jab is far better, he's a better counter puncher, his defence which isn't that good is still a level above Morrison's. He's also far smarter in the ring, no chance Joshua gets KO'ed in 1 by someone like Michael Bentt or taken to a draw vs Ross Puritty in his prime.

Morrison has a better left hook and a better combination puncher and even that combination punching comes with a price as it leaves himself open to be countered. He was caught mid combo vs Bentt when he had Bentt on the ropes. But that's all he's better at.

he smashed him out, though wlad was still good enough to knock him down halfway.

AJ got up and dealt with it. Wlad didnt, like he didnt with all his losses when prime.

Joshua has the better anti gravitational power punches, which is why is is deadly on the ring. No one has seemed to master this skill prior to his reign.

Mate, what ever way you try and spin it, Wlad was 41, he just isn't prime, good performance yes agreed, he nearly won, but lets not make out it was a prime Wlad, he was not young enough or active enough for that

AJ would beat Mercer and would KO Bentt in the first round instead of being KO'ed in one like Morrison was. Lewis' fans are so funny

I agree he would beat Mercer and Bentt would look like Joshua/Molina a one sided beat down where Joshua ends it when he wants too.

I'm saying this as a big Lewis fan though, don't lump all of us together, we're not all rose tinted types who think every era after the 90's sucked.
