He'd barely have time to enter the ring

How many belts have you lot won in your lives?

Fans make me laugh, "he's ****" "he only beat a shot Degale" "look at him being proud of a shitty ibo belt" etc

The guy was fighting for his career last night against a man who potentially had the chance CE to end it. Why wouldn't he be happy and relieved etc. Good on him, let him enjoy it. So what if he is proud of winning the ibo belt ..it's a belt, it's something that he has achieved in his life, a lot more than most will ever do.

Give him a break, sure he's not the best boxer we will ever see so what, he deserved his win and deserves to celebrate, good for him.

Junior has the respect of most on here but it’s a joke belt and Groves showed its worth by chucking it in bin. Good on him for winning it again though.

Chris beating Smith isnt so far fetched. Plank has looked very ordinary in a lot of his fights. ...just look at him against that middle aged kickboxing guy! He's big but hes boring plodding predictable lacks lring IQ isi totally overrated by his fans and I think he could fall apart against the right opponent. Plus he might be struggling at the weight too. Plank is a disaster waiting to happen, just wait and see.

He's going to go no where near Smith.

Did anyone listening to his interview after the fight?

Interviewer asked about BJS, basically he said something along the lines of he didn't believe he deserved the opportunity. Asked about Smith, his response was he's got lots of options at MW and SMW. He's coming after the other belts.

Roughly translated - I will fight the least resistant competition until I secure another big payday, hopefully pick up anothet belt doing so.

As a matter of interest anybodyanotice Chris was blinking a lot after the fight, probably just superficial eye abrasions, but I hope he's all right...

That was a brilliant performance against a very tricky akward slippery opponent who didnt want to engage. It was significant that though he is only a middleweight he was much the stronger man. Rag dolled the much bigger de gale. The body slam was priceless!

Plank is to big for CEJ, but you know when you have the ferocity and output of CEJ anything can Happen against a plodder like Plank.

Jr loses, like he most probably will against anyone in the upper reaches. However, he’ll always be a live dog as despite his flaws, you can’t doubt his conditioning and his heart, and sometimes they can win you a fight.

Smith could beat him up with just his jab all night if he wanted to.

No problem with him being proud mate, and even an IBO title is something to be proud of for the average person. It's the way he acts like its a legitimate world title and that he is an elite fighter for beating the likes of a shot Degale that I find annoying.

If he just came out and said, it was a good win, my best to date, but lets face it Degale is a shadow of his former self and to be considered the best I need to step up the opposition which I intend to do.. or words to that effect then I would not have a problem with him. Jnr just goes on like a arrogant c*ckhead 90% of the time and it rubs a lot of people up the wrong way

Agreed or he could stay up close to him and beat him to as he is a much better inside fighter. Though easier to win from the jab.
