Never really took to him, nowhere near as good as he thought IMO. He looked OK in spells but that's about it.

He was absolutely awful. How he had the gall to hold his hand up at the end is a shameful mystery!

Is it, though? Was it schoolboy speculation when Dirrell did a similar thing and won the fight on a DQ.

Was a completely illegal move from CEJ, if he wanted to de gale could've made a lot more of it.

Are we on a boxing forum?

I do feel he would have gave Froch fits.

Carl was lucky to face as many people willing to trade with him as he did.

James would have done the same but would have been smart enough to use his skills against him, and not rely on power, chin, heart or cardio like some (Pascal, AA, Kessler etc).

I was at the O2 last night and DeGale appeared done from the moment Eubank landed anything remotely clean. He couldn’t pull the trigger on his own shots, his balance was off and his resistance when he tried to engage was zero. I’d like to watch it back later but the impression from watching it live was that he was shot to ****. McDonnel must of seen this in training and I was expecting the towel to come in or corner to pull him out whenever he got rattled. Credit to DeGale for lasting 12 but it’s been over quite a while now.

I said that eubank would take over from round three and punish degale, degale would show plenty of heart but get beat up... I had a great night on the betting too. Took Joyce to win by ko, Selby to win by decision, eubank by decision soto to beat rios.. Had a fiver on it... Cha ching!!! Soto was 7/1 when I added it.

Also got another acca on the go, soto, dirrell, Joyce, eubank all in waiting on prograis to win shich he should and the final bet of nonaire to beat rete. Only a quid but that is at 72/1!

My only other bet still on the go is taylor, prograis, inoue (void), Crawford and Pacquiao (won) @ 3/1 with a tenner on it... Surely that is gonna win also

I thought that if Degale was still 70% of the fighter he was when he beat Dirrell then he would beat Eubank easily. But he has clearly regressed well beyond that is and is verging towards being totally shot. The Jack fight was the end of him. Did he even throw a single combination last night?

It was depressing to watch. Hopefully degale retires and lives a more sensible lifestyle so he doesn't blow through his earnings.

Any chance of seeing DeGale v Callum Smith .....purely as a yardstick to compare CEJ to the Plank? Surprisingly think de gale could make Smith look bad. He is very slippery akward and Might be a nightmare for the big stuff lug!

Well done on the bet mate, that’s a cracking accumulator! Last night I had Summers to beat Sterling (lost), Douglas to beat Selby (lost) and Degale to beat Junior (lost). Awful night for me.

I reckon we should not take too much away from Junior. Degale and his entire team were confident as hell about this one, and all indicators were that Degale was looking absolutely great in camp, and all throughout his sparring.

We hear this so much don’t we, about fighters apparently looking great in training but then turning out like that?

Someone/s hasn’t been honest with Degale. That’s clear to me. Not taking anything away from Junior.

I thought degale was a shell but still thought he had enough to outbox Eubanks but his ballence was terrible and the way he kept falling in when throwing punches I still don't rate Eubanks all that highly they took a risk and it paid off

I also stuck a single on Douglas after reading ur post. Stuck a cpl of quid on him by ko. Just cause of the unknown with Selby moving up and Douglas can bang a bit.
