i believe if ortiz doesnt stop hammer and look good he wont get a title shot ..if he kos hammer in good fashion he may get next shot at wilder since fury has signed with top rank (putting the rematch in jeopardy)so it will probably be whyte or ortiz getting next crack at wilder

ortiz stops hammer in 7 rds ...

I think Hammer will come to survive like he did against Povetkin and be sucessful at it. I can see this fight turning out the exact same way as Ortiz's last fight against Kaufmann.

Ortiz is the only heavyweight who gets a consistent free pass as to his opponent.

If Dillian Whyte was to fight Hammer he would be absolutely slaughtered. Ortiz does and people are querying why AJ hasn't signed to fight him

This is not out of the question. Ortiz is old, in poor health, off the PEDS, and Hammer comes to fight.

Honestly I can't see how exactly Hammer can outbox or KO Ortiz... But yes,of course there is this small chance.

If Hammer comes to survive, he could win a low volume fight with the greater work rate.
If he tries to mix it and do damage, Ortiz counters him into mush.

Ortiz missed out his last title shot against AJ through his poor showings against M. Scott and Allen. If doesn't beat Hammer in a impressive fashion then he certainly doesnt deserve a title shot ahead of the likes of Whyte.

Hammer is a durable guy and Ortiz is a pretty one paced fighter wouldn't shock me if this fight goes the distance or at least until the late rounds. Would be a statement if he stops him inside 6 rounds, nobody has done that since very early on in his career when he was over matched vs a much more experienced Wach.

The only people who give him a pass for his opposition our his fans, most neutrals do rip into him for facing poor opposition. Unfortunately for him he doesn't have the money behind him to get better opposition and he's at an age where nobody will want to invest in him as he could be shot overnight at this point in his career. He wasted too much of his career and now he's actually at a level were he's rated it's too late for him to benefit from it.

lol this is so very true, while load of hyperbole around Ortiz, could never see what others raved over and then I watched his two showcase fights in Europe for Hearn and he was very ordinary, type of performance that would of looked bad on Whyte.

Not quite sure that's how they go about it, I think they were worried about Ortiz for a while and slightly swerved him and now they are off the hook because Wilder stopped him

Rubbish. Scott was a disgrace in that fight and should have been counted out in round 4 but for some reason the ref let him continue run around the ring for the remainder of the fight in a very dodgy showing where it was as if Scott was instructed to run around the ring and make Ortiz look bad, and Ortiz hammered Allen from pillar to post and stopped him in round 7, quicker than anyone else has where as Whyte couldn't even stop Allen.
