You can only beat what’s infront of you. The point is that Chisora is tough, game and a respectable standard of opponent (even more so at the time). To make someone like Chisora quit is fairly significant. He’s not the best fighter in the world, and no one is saying he’s is, but he’s brave and a bit foolish so is prepared to get hurt. I don’t think it’s unreasonable for you to admit that Fury’s performance here was impressive.
Granted the likes of Kabyel and Pulev both dealt with Chisora comfortably but I agree beating Chisora in the manor Fury did in their second fight is impressive.
Since when is Chisora the benchmark? And do we rate fight fighters who beat Cunningham or McDermott well above Fury?
He brought up Chisora, not me. Pointless thread this, just going round in circles. More fool me for getting drawn in all time.
Need to jump in here, Haye KO of Chisora was excellent. But that fight was FAR FAR more competitive than Fury v Chisora, Fury completely schooled Chisora and did it with ease. Yes Fury steps up and performs better against better opposition but that tends to be cos they are more offensive and try to win the fight. Surely the fact that he can also then shut someone out and be defensive and still win the fight is a compliment and not a put down? Fury's biggest problem is that he doesnt have the power to stop the best at HW. Out of all the top HW's he is the only one lacking KO power. Wilder, AJ and Whyte are all capable of KO'ing anyone in the division but Fury is more than capable of boxing all three's head off. If Fury had power on top of his natural ability he would be the obvious No1 of the division.
trust me she does.... sorry should never speak with my mouth full dont know what your point is? Ahhh do you think I am some sort of Fury fan..... Im not he is lucky to be boxing after being exposed as a drug cheat IMO. (but then im certain the three of them are on or have been on the gear) Doesnt take away from the fact he is the best boxer at HW. All the top HW's at the moment are capable of beating each other on their day however.
You wanna learn some manners that personality lives in the same body as me we are practically family.
I have noticed that many say they saw Fury winning the Wilder fight and the judge's result was unfair, but when pressed for a score give 114-112. That's a one round switch from a draw! Further more if you ask for single round scores there's no consistency which two other rounds (apart from 9 & 12) observers would give to Wilder - ie there several candidate rounds that could be given to Wilder. There were some hard to score, low action rounds. I don't see that as a clear win/robbery for Fury. In fact it's because they had a close fight that a rematch makes sense. Either Wilder isn't so bad as some say, or Fury isn't so great - I prefer to give Wilder a little more credit than he sometimes gets.
Tyson Fury When quizzed on who he would like to face after Wilder, however, and the lack of top level fights being made within the sport's premium division, Fury had a good idea on both counts. "I blame Eddie Hearn for the fights not happening to be honest. It's not Dillian [Whyte]. Dillian wants to fight anybody. He's the most improved fighter of the last two years, and I got to say congratulations. "He deserves a world title shot for sure, and when I beat Wilder in my next fight, I'll give you a shot, no problem. I'm not a s***house, I'm a man of my word. "When I beat Wilder in my next fight, when I beat Wilder, you can have it next, because AJ [Anthony Joshua] isn't going to fight you. He is a s***house!."
AJ has already fought Whyte.... and Whyte knocked back a title fight. He said cos of money, what does he prefer money or a belt? Fury is happy to fight Whyte cos he is perfect opposition for him, Whyte has a better chance against Wilder and AJ than Fury. Interesting to see how much Whyte would get for a fight with Fury.
