I've noticed him pulling a Bernard Hopkins the last couple of interviews, trying to be clever and struggling to explain himself but thinking he's an intellect..I think his arse has gone and Miller has unsettled him, Millers gonna put a whoopin on him.....Its not going the distance, Joshuas gonna be looking for that second wind but Millers gonna body assault him and it wont come.. Hes had his fun, now its Millers time..Miller tko in 10, thoughts ??
Its all a test of Millers chin. If Miller can hold up the first couple rounds, every Miller opponent gases out after the first couple rounds. If he can make it to the 4th round, Millers got a real shot and will have the initiative. Just has to be able to handle the big early AJ shots, and that's a big if.
Really don't think Miller has much of a chance here, and I don't believe Josgua is rattled in any way for facing him. Only thing Miller accomplished is sparking the Joshua doping/TUE debate again.
its still 3 months away in the weigh in on may 31st there will be miller doing a chisora if joshua comes out swing for the hills in round 1 and 2 then millers antics will have worked if joshua comes out and has a look / jabs and is reserved then all the pre fight verbals will have done miller no good. miller at 300 is strong but he cannot box joshua from a distance and up close we have no idea what will happen when joshua connects clean . the assumption is that miller will be able to soak up a lot of punches and keep on chugging
He's said some things out of character at times, he clearly is bothered by some of the trash talk from Miller. He's often too diplomatic and conservative with his opinions and he's slipped up now and again and seemed genuinely annoyed by Miller. But he isn't rattled, he's just annoyed, I expect that not to bode well for Miller during the fight. Joshua is going to likely punish Miller in the ring for it, wouldn't shock me if we see some show boating from Joshua during the fight, he's going to want to put Miller in his place.
There's also an assumption Miller will be stronger because he weighs 300lbs. People need to go back and watch the Wach fight everytime they clinched Wach pushed Miller back.
Difference would be if Joshua's annoyance changed his approach in the ring. He's annoyed but that won't knock him off his strategy he's too calculating a fighter to allow that he learned from the mistake of the Whyte fight when he came out swinging. He's been far more cautious after the Whyte and Wlad fights. Breazeale got under his skin too we saw that when they faced off, but Joshua didn't go in swinging like vs Whyte. We'll see a measured approach from Joshua like usual but when he has Miller where he wants him that's when we could see Joshua show boating a little.
with miller IMO it is all assumptions he talks the talk and has steamrolled and walked through wach / washington/ dulhaupus his 3 best opponents but between the 3 of them they have stopped 1 top 100 fighter in over 100 fights combined showing there power for what it is what we dont know is can miller walk through a real puncher if hurt early will he be prepared to carry on chugging forward if he cant get inside can he box from the outside will his style be effective as he steps up can he counterpunch can he tighten up his defense can he duck a hook its all what ifs IMO i think the speed difference from the outside and inside and joshuas power will mean joshua will not have to have a war of attrition and will have an easy time. posters on esb also underate joshua defense for a heavy of his size he is good at ducking under left hooks /competent at taking punches on his gloves also if i was team joshua i would wear a pair of boxing shorts as high as miller wears his to nullify where miller is good and that is throwing lots of body shots. lennox always wore his shorts very high.
AJ is a nice guy and boxing is a sport where you deal with low lifes like Miller. AJ has to get to grips with that fact.
I honestly do not think AJ is rattled , I think Miller is the one rattled by what he needs to do . Miller has screamed for this fight and now he has to back it up . In reference to AJ , Whyte tried to shake him so to did Martin and let us not forget Parker going on record for saying he has a weak chin yet none put him down . If anything it's the opposite AJ had more trouble with conservative fighters like Povetkin and Wlad yet through all this AJ still won . Miller is the one rattled because he knows AJ is looking to make a statement to USA .
Joshua is acting up a bit more than usual, but I don't think he's rattled. He's just aware that this is a poor voluntary fight, and he wants to make an impression in the US.
Shades of Lewis - Rahman 2 about this for me. AJ seems angry but it will work to Miller's detriment in the long run when he is broken down and Joshua's class starts to give him the edge.
people going on like its froch - grove I. joshua has this guy handled already. it would take for something very stupid for joshua to lose. he has advantages in all departments.
