Not a word from him in ages, and he's apparently not returned any texts to Fury since their fight in December. Wonder what Uncle Al has planned for Deontay in 2019...

First thing he should do is go to speech therapy class, his interviews while funny are cringeworthy.

He was trying to make a major fight with someone who it turns out is scared of being punched by him, so now a different opponent will be found.

Don't want to spoil the excitement, but I heard former IBF heavyweight champion Charles Martin could be on the agenda.

You've gotta wonder what Uncle Al is pushing to these guys under the counter. Seems a no-brainer that Wilder should be jumping to DAZN or ESPN for the mega bucks, yet I'm left with the suspicion he'll spend his 2019 faffing about with Breazeale and Kownacki (no guarantee he wins those either)

Probably a lot of things being discussed in the background after recent events. Firstly who does he fight next, his team will probably be reaching out to possible opponents and seeing who wants a title shot. Breazeale seems most likely if not Breazeale then Kownacki.

He'll also no doubt be wanting to know where his career is heading and why he's still with Showtime if Fury is making £80 mill from TopRank/ESPN and Joshua has a £100 mill deal with Matchroom/SKY. If Wilder is not making several million for his next fight then the pressure will be on Haymon and Showtime to come up with the goods because even if Wilder can't sign with ESPN or DAZN without Haymon's approval, once his deal with Haymon runs out he will, because in the current climate in US boxing he's severely under valued and under paid.
