Holyfield as a smaller man took bombs from Bowe 3x , Foreman , Lewis 2x and Mike Tyson 2x. Putting him last is an insult to the sport of boxing.

He never faced a monster (don’t count old Louis despite being a great puncher)but his average opponent had a higher KO percentage then the average. But Marciano being one of the few on this list to never get stopped he deserves the top spot. I don’t see how you could place him last...really no justification for that.

I love that I am now a Klitschko overrater lol, I guess there is a first for everything. I guess if you can point out to me some of the times he was knocked down, I will reevaluate it in contrast to the others.

Personally I feel it is a tight competitive list and have no problem with another rating (these are very subjective to begin with), but don’t feel it was a disingenuous or outrageously overrating his chin to place him there either

What sort of punishment did he endure that the others didn't? I need to know what puts him top of the list.

I need to know what excludes him from being considered.

Well I don’t want to detract from any of these guys because I think they all had very good chins. I guess Foreman for starters was knocked down by Lyle x’s 2 Ali and Young. Which of the many times Vitali was down show evidence that he would also be knocked down like this?

He's the only person on this list that hasn't really been hurt or seriously dropped besides Marciano tbf

You know on reflection you’re right. He should be above Braddock, Willard and Marciano.
I rushed the earlier choices in between jobs at work never gave it enough thought.

How many top punchers did either meet?
Marciano was hurt in the Moore fight ,he said he," blacked out for a couple of seconds". Reports of the first Lowry fight state Rocky was in danger of being stopped in that fight ,but I don't know as I haven't seen it.

We all know that Foreman was stopped from exhaustion and not from chin , so that point in bunk.

Dropped by Lyle but got back up to win and that shows a good to great chin. The way Foreman fought back with reckless abandonment immediately after standing up shows what a cast iron chin he had.
When Vitali was hit by Lewis , he went spaghetti legged and held on for dear life. He didn't fight back , he held so that should tell you Foreman has a better chin just from one fight alone.

Against Alex Stewart , Foreman eat more flush shots than Vitali did in his ENTIRE career. That goes for the Morrison fight as well.
Nobody knows how Vitali would handle 12 rounds of Morrison hooks clean across his head. The hooks Foreman took flush would have dropped a horse.

Vitali's resume is weak asf so I can't point out much there minus Lewis (who was getting his **** kicked in before the cut, didn't land anything significant)

Samuel Peter and Shannon Briggs could crack a bit but didn't land anything standout either

Marciano on the other hand fought the knockout king Archie Moore who was landing clean counters while Marciano treated them like smelling salts, Walcott tried his best and Walcott is underrated as a puncher, and Layne isn't a bad name either. IIRC Ross was 15-0 14 KOS and had fought experienced men with winning records when he met the 4-0 novice Marciano

Vitali stepped backed when Kevin Johnson hit him with jabs and he was backed up by Chirs Byrds feather dusters .

He was badly stunned by Sanders and arguably touched the canvas.

So getting dropped twice to Ron Lyle and coming back to win is greater than getting spaghetti legged (just perhaps an over exaggeration?) but not going down by Lennox Lewis....hmmm....okay I am convinced lol
