    "You anti Ricky people" ?

Excuse me, but who of us here is snoozing in Rocky imprinted pillowcases, fapping to Marciano - Walcott 1 twice a day ??

I don´t care how many LHWs and blown up middleweight HOFs Rocky beat, because in therms of P4P he was a fantastic fighter who was always in shape and came with max. determination to win.

The absurdity starts when YOU guys are forcing Marciano to be something that he wasn´t, a HW-champ in therms of a modern avarage 220lb boxing environment. We are talking about a fighter who had no problem making the 175lb limit! A terrific fighter, who might very well NOT fight Cruiserweight class today!

The coronation of absurdity is not only putting Rocky inside a group of iron faced fellows who got hit thousands of times by the best man ever competeing in an open-end weight class environment, but even putting Marciano on the No.1 spot infront of Mercer, Foreman and Vitali. For real, what is the ****ing magnitude for such kind idiocy? Put on his ass by SHW Moore and Walcott, nearly stopped by heavy handed Charles, but sure, put him over Vitali, Mercer etc!
OK! Next time he knocks out Wilder earlier than the ghost of Joe Louis. Rockistas in wonderland :drink:

I´m serious, you guys better see the psychologist. Persuasive pipe dreams of such dimension are no joke.

The average heavyweight would still be around 200 if the Cruiserweight limit didn't exist. sub 200lbs fighters are very well capable of hitting harder than 200+lbs, just ask Dempsey, who hit harder than Willard, or Louis, who hit harder than Carnera. Diminishing returns.

You claim we have a Marciano fetish but it seems you have a size fetish. Continue thinking that Butterbean is the GOAT and that Samuel Peter's fat folds would save him from Jersey Joe Walcott. We don't care.

Same old argument w u and one or two others. Mention rocky and you get triggered. Mentioning an ATG HW champ who had never been stopped as having one of the best chins ever isn’t a stretch. He was never stopped nor close to being stopped. Knocked down twice in his career both of which was up before the count of 4 w no wobbly legs. He also never weighed 175.
Unfortunately he only fought a handful of men at a shw range and dominated all of them. We didn’t get to see how he would handle a Liston or Foreman so it’s hard to gauge where he might stand against some men. But saying he couldn’t stand w Wilder is just absurd. As if Wilder is the next coming of Ali (Ali the greates imo whom most people thought at the time wouldn’t have been able to beat Marciano). I would give Fury the better chance at beating either men today but Wilder doesn’t even belong in the discussion.

He never fought a class SHVY,even Valdes might have learnt us something.I just can't put him in the top bracket for chin when he never faced a top drawer banger let alone a Shvy one. Mercer took Morrison's left hooks.Lewis' right crosses so we know he is proven.Holyfield took Foreman's,Lewis',Bowe's etc and so on and so forth.

I respect and get your opinion. He’s not an easy fighter to gauge because of the question marks.

Abe Simon took quite a pounding and finished on his feet in protest at the stoppage.

I'm not drawing any firm conclusions from what I'm about to say but it's worth mentioning that Lyle hit like a truck and is the only fighter to really hurt Foreman with just a few shots, just one of which from Lyle knocked a Klitschko sized guy cold:

I am aware that murderous Ron Lyle stopped the iron chinned Acorn...what other good fighter that he stopped would you recommend watching for newbies who are just learning about him?

Marciano is #1 as in if a big puncher nailed each of these men with the same huge punch, Marciano would be the least hurt?

Holy didn`t take Bowe`s punches as well as he took Foreman`s and Lewis`s blows at all.

He was stopped once in 3 fights with Bowe.In 2 fights with Lewis, when past prime he was never floored do you think Marciano could achieve that?
