    I have a few, but first on my list is Bernard Hopkins.
    A government grade A-hole without a doubt, and pretty dirty in the ring. But dang did that boy have skills. And not just skills, but the work ethic and discipline to add near perfect fundamentals to that skill.
    I was a little shocked and disappointed at the time, but looking back on how he systematically dismantled Trinidad was the art of boxing at its best.

    I think I'd get along with Hopkins just fine. Although I could see where others wouldn't. My pick is Oscar De La Hoya.

    I can see that. One thing you can't say about B-Hops is that he was phony. He put his A-holishness out there for everyone. DLH hid behind a fake all american boy persona while being a freak alcoholic transvestite in real life. But was still crazy good at boxing.

    I can sort of understand this, but I don't totally agree with it.
    No doubt Floyd had elite skills, and I respect that. But I save "mad" respect for guys that tested themselves throughout their careers. Floyd avoided all the toughest challenges available at the time once he got above 135. It's just a fact.

    Hopkins had skills but he didn't run through the division, he had big struggles at 160, I think his main asset was his work ethic as you say..Definately would walk on by if I seen him, i'd get nothing out of a conversation with him

    Hes a massive phony.. Over thought crap that comes out his mouth, pretending to be clever...Hes acting 24/7, he just could be worse if it didn't hurt his pocket, he'll talk like hes trying to con you in to his way of thinking

    Carl Froch, long time proven nob, cant let stuff go and snidey little digs, but the man was a monster.. Edit : The **** nearly ran me over too lol

    I’m gunna go for Kovalev. Clearly has character flaws but he has never clearly ducked anyone in the pro ranks and was unified that’s pretty good.

    Froch for me too. I was a massive fan of Froch, the boxer. Hard as nails, a proper warrior and always in good fights, but as a person he's just awful. A snidey, bitter, narcissistic, downright arsehole of a guy. He's a terrible pundit too.
