I feel Shavers was a poor mans Wilder which is why I ask this question, I Fury would have boxed his ears off and Ortiz also, I would also like to find out what fans think about him v AJ, who would be standing in front of Shavers, also could Shavers have beaten whoever fans feel in the other top 5 heavy in the world. Wherre would Shavers rank in todays game?

I think Wilder is the only one he'd have a better than 50-50 chance of beating. With the other guys he's just not slick enough to get inside.

Fury v Shavers :Fury wins unanimous decision.

AJ v Shavers :Joshua has to pull himself up off the floor to stop him in 11.
Wilder v Shavers: An exciting fight with Wilder been rocked to his boots by Shavers several times before stopping him in the last round .

I see 0 guys in the top 5 that I think he would beat, and in the top 10 there are only 2 that I would favor him in.
    8 Kownacki
    10 Pulev
And maybe 9 Miller (I don’t think we/I know enough about him yet) 50-50

I think he stands a chance against Ortiz, Parker and Whyte but I wouldn’t pick him

I just don’t think he would beat any of the top guys?

I'd say Shavers axes Ortiz into next week, if Shavers rocks Wilder , he ko's him. Fury outboxes Ernie ,The Shavers that went 15 against Ali ain't an easy out for anyone

I'd say he possibly could /would.He took Larry the distance and then took 11 in the rematch.

AJ and Wilder always look for the KO but Larry backpedled behind the jab that`s why they have much higher KO ratios to Larry, Parker only survived because he was spoiling using a good counter jab, but AJ was pressing the action all the way and would be against Shavers whereas Larry backed off a lot.

Ali was out of shape in that bout, Wilder and AJ are far better than Ali was in that bout, Ali was much better in the third Frazier bout, no way could Shavers have taken the punches Frazier took.

Ortiz was better than the out of shape version of Ali that was so sluggish v Shavers.

Shavers would have starched that glass jawed joke Wilder.

Holmes during his title run had a good stoppage ratio. If you and and have a look at his prime fights you will see he didn't just back-peddle behind the jab, in fact he planted his feet often. As Zakman (i think) often says, he set up his pitchers mound. Yes he did fight more cautious against Shavers but that decision was a no brainer. It doesn't reflect the rest of his prime.

Thanks you have seen more Holmes fights than me but Wildder and AJ would go for the KO v Shavers they can only fight one way.
