I like to take losses out of the equation unless it effects the quality of a win (eg. Duran vs Leonard 2&3) but I in honestly don't even see him as an 8 division belt holder. He shouldn't have gotten a belt for beating Margereato as he didn't even weigh in at 154. But facts are facts

Lol! I agree facts are facts, but they can also be given more weight by one than another. It’s your list and your criteria but I feel both wins and loses have to factor in to a degree. As well as not only a name but the quality of that name. For example you use DLH as a win for May and Pac, but to me while he is a bigger more recognizable name to some, it pales to some of their other wins. Or JCC being a scalp of DLH (who I like more than most but don’t rate as high as you) when JCC is a great name, but not necessarily a great scalp on DLH’s ledger

Fair enough, I'm more than welcome to change in the list, but once I read up on McLarnin I'll come back with a either a better put together argument or surender

I appreciate your list even innthecspots I disagree. I am not an expert (not that I needed to tell you lol), but am trying to poke holes or look at holes that are poked in my criteria. A lot of guys will critique your list but won’t have the stones to post their own in fairness if play. Mine is a work in progress.

If you check out McClarnin check out McFarland and McGovern as well

I'm back after quick look over McLarnin's résumé and through his achievements.

Excellent Résumé, Leonard, Canzoneri, Glick, Ambers
And Damn that first round KO of Corbett looks good.

If I was going to change it (which I am) I'd put Canzoneri at 20-23 and McLarnin in the same range but above Canzoneri with the rest of the list moving down a place obviously losing Foreman, I'd consider moving Fitzsimmons up 5-10 places with those below moving down one to make up for it.

It's brave to throw up your top 50 knowing you are going to get bombarded with criticisms and then have to defend. As you say, you are still working on it a bit .. But I tip my hat to ya, nice list, well done

I have to say, thanks for putting this list up. It really promotes quality discussion and aids mine and others learning and evaluation in regards to fighters, eras etc. There is always more to consider about this sport.

Also get an avatar my man! Gotta have ya style!

His wins over Greb, Sharkey, Ross, McTigue and Smith,
That's quite a résumé and it's across multiple weights. That's the top and bottom of it tbh

Believe me I am not critiquing his resume and find him a great LHW. I think his resume is great...I just question whether it is top 15 great. I don’t see it yet, but I am trying lol

    Nice job.

I don't think McVey belongs, and Fitz is way too low IMO.
