What middleweight in history could have beaten a fighter as big and as powerful as Callum Smith?

Roy clearly beat Tarver despite being almost 35 and drained.

Tarver is the very fighter that meets the criteria that you've set.

Would you speak about Callum Smith this way when he was struggling past Erik Skoglund? Is stopping a past prime George Groves in a fight that was even at the time of the stoppage worthy of comparing him to ATGs? You are mental

To be fair, Groves was clearly on his way to getting stopped in that fight. He was getting hurt way to much without taking anything out of Smith

Mark, have you ever been introduced to Bailey?

    Ha!

    A match made in heaven.

A fantasy world where Canelo and Carl Froch would have beaten Roy.

A fantasy world where Ottke had a better resume than Andre Ward.

Groves looked brilliant against Eubank, his jab was really good, he couldn`t out jab Smith because of his reach and was really wary of his power, Smith is like a poor man`s Hearns in his respective weight class when Tommy was a freakish welter except he seems more well built than his opposition compared to the slender welter than Hearns was.

Canelo would have had a far better chance of beating Jones than Froch would have specifically if Froch fought Jones at 168 while Canelo took on Roy at 160 P4P Canelo is better than Froch was, he gets hit less and Groves was outboxing Froch before he got stopped as was Taylor, I feel Ward was the greatest super middle of all time, I feel Calzaghe and Ward would have been a classic and if Hopkins were the same age he could have met Ward in a super match at 168 also.

Benn Watson and Collins would have been easily beaten by Smith, Benn didn`t display Smith`s power at super middle, Smith is like McClellan with a better defense.

Toney didn`t do enough at super middle to prove he was as good at that weight as he was at middle when he fought so well v the brilliant McCallum who wassn`t a natural super middle and was best at light middle. Nunn never beat a guy on Smith`s level, I feel Groves would have beaten Nunn at 168 he was easier to hit than at 160, Johnson didn`t do much at 168 and was outclassed by Jones at 175.

I got my jaw broke in 2006 because I cut in between two youth walking up the street and went 'whee!' for a joke, they weren`t amused. They missed my sack and stabbed me in the leg, i`ve been beat up a few times, a couple of times at my secondary school and twice in the street, once when I was 12 by a tough Irish kid, thanks for the concern, pal.;)

Yes, due to his size, I feel he would be too big for anyone smaller than him right now, so I thought I would make the question about ATG`s from the past. There`s nobody that could do as well v Smith under his size right now as Hopkins, Robinson and couple of others would except Canelo, he`s the only world class fighter still fighting that has fought at super middle but he is tiny compared to Smith.
