According to boxing scene Whyte's deal is ''nearing completion''. If Wilder fights Breazeale, we might see Whyte take on Pulev or Bryant Jennings.

Why do people keep throwing Pulev’s name in. He’s not fighting Fury or Whyte any time soon. He’s mandatory for the unified champion and cash cow AJ. Why on earth would he throw that away for less money and no belts.

And by the way this is another bad move for British boxing. Another one of our top heavys signing with a US company. The British boxing boom has ended.

I reckon deep down he knows he’ll lose to AJ again. He may aswell carry on against the likes of Jennings, Kownacki, Martin. All very winnable fights for him.

Whyte is a smart man, he also signed alot of fighters on managerment terms, so he will get money for that. If i was arum i would get them as well

Kownacki and Martin won't happen for Whyte as they're Haymon fighters.

There wasn't really a boom just hype.

Joshua is the one carrying it and making it seem like British boxing is where it is.

However the pool of talent on British shores across divisions is very shallow in comparison to the US counterparts.

Problem for Whyte is that if you want to see how he'd get on against AJ, you can just watch him fight him and it ends with Whyte unconscious.

In that sense, as much as results would suggest he deserves a crack, it's always that bit harder to sell when you've been brutally dispatched as the outsider before.

Sky's domestic boxing schedule has been terrible lately. They should review their sole promoter policy because it's not working.

No way Pulev gives up his mandatory. On top of that no way he fights fury unless it’s in the UK which brings a lot lower views for ESPN. Only way I think this deal works is if it’s also a co promotion between Warren and Top Rank. Frank needs PPV fighters badly and Whyte is available. I think it will be a 5 fight deal. Debut in America then PPV in UK then try to get him the mandatory fight. These two have WBO in their pockets but Hearn has Usyk. I believe they will try to go down the route of because Usyk is taking a time up. He hasn’t used his super champion status and it should be Whytes mandatory.
