There's no WAY Haymon was going to allow his only heavyweight titlist to take any kind of risk against a live opponent next. You can cry about Fury but imo he already clearly lost to an 80% Fury, it was only through Haymons bought and paid for Judges that Wilder is even being discussed anymore.

Wilder takes an L vs Joshua, Fury, Whyte even Miller and Povetkin would KO him. He's a primitive fighter that's good for 1 punch and will continue to be protected and milked until he's old and dry. Then and only then will we see him fight the best.

That's the fight they're building to. I like Kownacki, he's got good fundamentals and has a good chance vs Wilder but it's not the fight people want.

Wilder above all just wants to hang onto his belt, imo.

He knows he’s been lucky the 1 time he really stepped up.

Not that that’s wrong, it’s simply a deeper denied lack of confidence in ones self than most of the goats in this sports history have shown.

Wilder BS’s himself and the public far more than most champs and that’s saying something in this day and age.

Than again what would you expect from a guy that choose to scare another mans children in order to show how tough he was?

Back in the day, every man would of gathered round Wilder (all races, religions, creeds etc, but no gays or chicks pretending they were guys) and we would of horse whipped him collectively in the town square. Then everyone would gather together and explain to him lovingly why we all helped heal him internally by whipping him externally. He would go away from that a better human being and probably challenge AJ right away and take the smaller cut without endless contract details in his favour.

I was horse whipped by my dad, as was his dad, etc, plus I have horse whipped both my dad and grand pa and it’s always worked to give us confidence and courage in times whereby we were acting like tools.

I called it ages ago but to be fair i see sign after sign he dont want to face Joshua but he really wanted the Fury rematch. They shouldnt of robbed him in the 1st fight, all he asked was for a fair ride and he would come to America and concede to give team Wilder full control, just please be fair to him. They couldnt do that and they couldnt promise to be any fairer in the rematch.

So they went for Breazeale instead. I have no complaints about that fight at all. Whether you feel he deserves it or not hes been sat at Mando for a while now waiting for his chance and the beef from last year can resurface and make for an interesting build up.

Hes likely to drop back off PPV though. He cant call himself a PPV star if he drops off PPV. He is now a PPV player where if you get the right opponent it could do PPV. But a PPV star just fights on PPV regardless. Like Joshua, he can take a Breazeale fight to PPV and do very well out of it.

I predict he will struggle with Breazeale before getting a late stoppage however like with most semi-decent fighters Wilder fights there's a very real threat there.

Dude Breazeales been his mandatory for 2 yrs now if you wanna place blame then put it on the Fury one.. We was about to have Wilder/Fury 2 and Whyte bs Breazeale but Fury had other plans.. Again as I stated in another thread don’t fanboy too hard that’s giving all these top guys reasons to duck each other

Not true. Wilder-Fury II was next.

PBC was for it. The WBC was for it. Wilder was for it. The fight was in the final stages of negotiation. Warren asked for more time.

    Then Warren and Fury bolted.

    Call a spade a spade.

Breazeale is ****.....no idea how he is mandatory. His resume is appalling imo. Remind me how good he looked against AJ?!?!

It's a good fight though (Breazeale vs Wilder) and that's the main thing.

I actually thought the rematch between Wilder and Fury would be next, only because those two were boasting before their first fight, about how easy it was to put fights together lol.

Since losing to AJ in June 2016 he has had 3 fights......

    Izu Ugonoh - Feb 2017
    Eric Molina - Nov 2017
    Carlos Negron - Dec 2018

The lower tiers of the heavyweight division is poor.....no wonder people lose interest with these abysmal match ups

Sorry Fanoi, Fury realised that he was going to get duded again if he jumped aboard the Wilder (fair for all) show. So he went out and got a deal which gives him some pretty good leverage in any rematch negotiations which now Wilders team seeing that they may not have all the Canelo advantages they usually enjoy decided that it was time to move on.

Only rabit fanbois think otherwise, everyone else know Fury was robbed in the first fight and the smart move was to get some protection..

Your boi won't fight unless he has the cards stacked for him..

Apparently, it was too easy to make the rematch. Fury and Warren decided to put some distance between them. (LOL)

Dominic Breazeale always seems to be involved in exciting fights. So does Wilder. They certainly aren't two guys who are going to be clinching and holding all night.

But I think Wilder could hurt Breazeale pretty bad in this fight.

I don't think Breazeale should be the mandatory. But every champ in every division has to fight one of these types of mandatories at some point. So you get it over with and move on.

Ninth consecutive WBC title defense coming up. Wilder is entering pretty exclusive territory. Not too many heavyweight champions with that many successful defenses.
