Golovkin and DAZN can’t make the deal

    Although former unified middleweight world champion Gennady Golovkin has been negotiating a multi-fight deal with DAZN for months that would include a rematch with Canelo Alvarez in September, it’s been very difficult to close the deal.

    According to Dan Raffael

    Why Golovkin is messing about at the age of 37? If he would be 27 he would have a big value, but at this stage of his career he is not going to be the next Mayweather

    maybe he should just forget the canelo fight. just be content that most people think you won both of them anyway. go fight a tune up then go right for charlo.

    Maybe he doesn’t want tough fights, he just wants big money.

    I can imagine that DAZN is forcing the trilogy fight, not GGG.

    What suggests it's 3G that's being difficult? Multi-million dollar deals aren't a walk in the park.

    The rumour was that 15M against Andrade, 25M+ against Canelo (that’s already at least 40M this year, and chance for his “biggest dream” to unify all the belts) + one more fight for 15M.

    How much more does he want when probably he has 3 fights left? And also all the belts are on the DAZN.
    Showtime or ESPN won’t pay him bigger money, and he won’t get belts from there.

    And the man is disappeared since last September. He had every chance to become a huge PPV start but he didn’t because he is not really active in the media/on the social networks.

    Same story when Canelo-GGG 2 nearly didn’t happen because he wanted 50-50 money split. I like Golovkin, but it’s laughable that he wants 50-50 against Canelo. Even though he is the better fighter

    It’s one thing that how good fighter you are, but it’s another that how marketable are you.

    You guys let "promotions" fool you all the time. Don't you remember how Tom Loeffler and GBP were tweeting away saying GGG vs Canelo 2 wasn't going to happen and then in the matter of a day it was a done deal.

    Golovkin is not retiring, you can bank on that.

    Outrageous. AJ isn't making that type of money.

    Those are 2M dollar fights at the most.
