It’s a bit different mate. AJ has been tied to a UK broadcaster. Fury has gone and done it with a US one and maybe Whyte the same. They aren’t being scorned for it, people are expressing their disappointment. Fury signed exclusively with BT at first and there was a bit of disgruntlement, nothing more. But now it’s a US deal it’s more disappointment (from my view anyway).

As a British boxing fan I don’t want to stay up until 5am to watch our boxers fight, Crolla, Smith, Saunders, AJ, Fury, Whyte.

I’m also an event going boxing fan. I’ve been to most AJ fights, Callum Smith, Crolla, seen fury, Whyte, Brook, Khan etc and many others fight live in the UK, all of which seem to be going to be fighting in America. It’s shite.

Why have you ignored the fact that I said 'penniless in comparison to Joshua?' Obviously both are rich if we're using you or I as the yardstick. I'm also not that sure both have more money than they could ever spend, and the history of boxing has plenty of examples of men who made far more than Wilder and Fury who ended up bankrupt.

That's a fair point mate and I understand that it sucks for you because you do attend more events than most on here.

However, again it's worth reiterating that Hearn started this with his DAZN deal. Tommy Coyle, James Tennyson, Rocky Fielding, Luke Campbell, Katie Taylor and many others all fighting Stateside in recent months to the detriment of UK fans who have been served garbage domestic Matchroom cards of late - something that Adam Smith has admitted in the public domain.

It's continuing as well, with Hearn's plan to make the Joshua-Miller card a "UK & Ireland v USA fight night" and he also just announced plans to have Kell Brook out in the USA in May/June to build up the prospective fight with Jessie Vargas.

Hearn is the architect of this UK boxing scene shift to America and it's as a result of his greed, his ego and his desire for "global domination" which many of his fans on here have spoken highly of. It's ironic given that he was the one who used to gloat about the UK being the epicentre of boxing today.

I can't imagine the likes of you being that supportive of a card featuring Coyle, Fielding and Taylor to be honest. And if we rewind a year or so AJ would have been criticised for not going abroad and proving himself in the States.

It's easy to adjust the narrative if you hate Hearn. Keeps them over here and he's protecting his fighters. Sends them abroad and he's doing a bad job for UK fans.

Not really. I said from the outset that the DAZN Matchroom deal and the DAZN GBP deal were great news for American boxing fans but that it was terrible news for British boxing fans.

As usual, most of the Hearn fans on here dismissed my views and just repeated the tired, vacuous rhetoric that I am “obsessed” with Hearn.

Not once have I changed my narrative on that.

And now British boxing fans are beginning to see the fall out and what I was alluding to from the day the DAZN deal was announced.

I didn’t ignore it, I acknowledged it in the first paragraph. I agree with the rest of your post, there is a history of it but it’s not every case...it does happen every so often though.

I’d love a UK card featuring a Coyle, Fielding etc at the minute. You have to admit Tony, he’s gone to the absolute extreme with taking U.K./Irish fighters to fight on undercards in the US. I’m personally shocked and gutted how quickly the quality of the shows have deteriorated.

It's because these fans get a kick out of finances rather than actually going to and watching fights.

They know more about a fighters networth and money generated than they actually do the strengths and weaknesses of their skill set.

That's where we are at these days.

This....all day long. Very rarely hear people talk about the technical side of boxing on here lately.

I’ve slated Hearn from day one for it. If you look back my concerns were how much it would stretch the stable and there’s no doubt about it, it definitely has.

DAZN is a fantastic concept, would love it in the UK, the yanks don’t realise how good they’ve got it! However it’s possibly ruining British boxing ironically.

The Sky/Matchroom partnership's days are numbered. DAZN will want to launch in the UK at some point. Eddie's making it pretty obvious where he sees his future and that's DAZN. Sky will rightly feel like they are being used, especially if the quality of UK shows continues to decline.

2017 called, it wants its meme back.

The dynamic and power balance has changed irrevocably in the last 6 months, can't you see that? Genuinely now, not trolling,

Contract until 2021. Fortunately for Eddie he’s got his new young crop coming through which could well be stars by then. Also you’ve got Frank in an exclusive deal with BT. So exclusive he couldn’t even show on boxnation remember. So where do sky turn to? Unless they cut boxing all together (which they won’t).

Contracts have terms and conditions - if Eddie isn't delivering then Sky can terminate. The only way Sky will keep Matchroom in the long term is if they throw more money at it. It may not be possible to keep both DAZN and Sky happy...

The amount of blank quote posts I can see here suggest to me that Hayers' Matchroom abacus has been working overtime.
