they both get criticism, both fairly and unfairly.

We should not criticise 3G for managing by age 36 to make half a dozen MW defences, just as we should not criticise 28 year old Canelo for ruling 2 divisions and stepping up to a 3rd one. Because they did this fair n square.

But we should attack 3G for claiming fake defences, or for Canelo (likely) attempting to use PEDs.

    Two big differences here.

Firstly, GGG has lost his confidence after being the victim of boxing politics and fixed scoring. That same enthusiasm to correct that injustice that he had going into rematch is not there. There is only so much self-motivation someone can muster up.

Seccondly, Canelo is now the most confident fighter in boxing now. He has Mexican drug cartels and Vegas mafia influencing officials for him, Oscar Dela Hoya pulling strings and WBC/WBO ignoring his doping indiscretions. Furthermore, DAZN have just given him a $300,000,000 contract.

He is the golden boy and everything is rigged in his favour.

Anyone who ignores these factors is just a deluded sheep.

I notice that 3G didnt lose his confidence when he was the victim of being handed two titles outside the ring. The unfairness didnt bother him back then.

Are you saying that when someone takes his titles INSIDE the ring, that he was gifted OUTSIDE the ring, he feels unfairly done by? LOL

3G does not share your bias! What a joke and mockery you make of all 3Gs good work. Just accept that he will try and win them back soon...and all true fans know he will do it in style.

Canelo used up all his free passes when he got caught red-headed and red-handed, his mouth full of pharma grade gear.
This is a reputable boxing forum, of course drug fiends get no passes here.
The people defending such a questionable character probably are Michael Jackson fans, too.

Catchweights configured to favour him solely, dodgy drug tests and absurd judges decisions …

… will forever raise the odd eyebrow.

There are people on this site who went out of their way to defend his failed drug tests and still do. Some defended the Chavez Jr fight, the Fielding fight and I'm quite sure the Khan fight.

Happy for people to make the argument GGG has too many people defending him too often but to pretend the same doesn't exist for Canelo is stupid.

Newsflash for you: he paid one judge, but couldn't pay enough the 2 others.

    Strictly between you and me.

Im sure his long amateur career should be included!! Truth be told GGG fought to long as most Eastern Euro's do in the amateur ranks had over 300 bouts that will take its toll on any man. How many amateur fights did Morales and Vargas have?? Just saying GGG has alot of experience on his resume pro and amateur I'd be shocked if he wasn't a bit burn't out before even turning pro. The Canelo/GGG should have taken place years ago same as the Pac/Floyd years to late! Just my two cents

Difference is GGG has never popped dirty Canelo has but was allowed to get away with it
85% of boxing folk say GGG won both fights clearly over Canelo. But Canelo got a gift draw & a ludicrous gift 'win"

Just think about this for one minute........................
100 % of boxing folk thought Adelaide Byrd's 118-110 card for Canelo over GGG was TOTALLY LUDICROUS. In fact everyone but Bob Bennett. the NSAC head honcho. He was asked was he going to ask Ms Byrd to explain her ludicrous card ?? His reply was. " No Adelaide is one of my BEST judges she just had a bad night" LOL A bad night???????????????????
Need you look any further to see why corruption rules Vegas ??????????
