The best fight of all time in my humble opinion.

Tyson v Ruddock two was awful both fighters looked half asleep and Tyson said he didn`t bother training much because he was bored with boxing at that point.

Only one half asleep was you, antman. It’s was a brutal 12 round fight and both took some thunderous shots especially Ruddock who looked like a blooded and battered mugging victim at the end. Both of them took such heavy punishment that it must have taken something out of both of them.

As a pure boxing match, the second Winstone-Saldivar fight (the one in Cardiff, 1967) takes some beating, in my opinion. Just stunning.

Much like Marquez and Pacquiao, Winstone and Saldivar just had those styles which mesh perfectly with each other, to the point where no matter what stage they were at in their careers, no matter how big a favourite either one of them might be, no matter how they were performing against other guys, you felt that they'd always bring the best out of each other and produce a brilliant contest.

That second fight just had a bit of everything. Winstone boxed absolutely beautifully for the first eight or nine rounds. I actually think it was Saldivar's greatest win and performance, too, considering what he was up against.

    What a fight.

For blood and guts action, the usual suspects have been mentioned. The first Dave McAuley versus Fidel Bassa fight was insane, as was Chacon-Limon IV.

For a ridiculous, scarcely-believable comeback from the jaws of defeat, though...Soo-Hwan Hong's miracle recovery against Hector Carrasquilla in the WBA's inaugural Super-Bantamweight title fight in 1977. I'm sure plenty have seen it, but for those who haven't, take a look. Phenomenal.

Tyson took more of a beatring from Douglas who was far better than the limited Ruddock, Tyson was so static v Ruddock, Holy would have toyed with him at that stage.

First thought was Holmes-Cooney; never saw a championship bout in person, but this was live on closed-circuit and as good as I was going to get. Larry never looked sharper and put on a clinic; Gerry was just game and strong enough to make it a competitive bout. And the ninth round nut shot was a bit of added entertainment (easy for me to say, Holmes was none too pleased) -

    Just my .02 ...

Cornelius Boza-Edwards v. Bobby Chacon II

It could be because I was an adolescent, but the excitement I got from watching that fight is almost indescribable.

And no jokes please: not that kind of excitement. LOL.

I am sure he is talking about the second fight.

Saad boxed in a safety first manner for much of the first fight, although it was exciting in spurts.

Those fights were very exciting - but they looked like glorified club fighters.
