Depends on what version of Toney shows up. Is he properly prepared, comfortable at the weight and mentally focused ?? If yes then he wins a close decision over GGG. Can't pick Toney with any real certainty though he struggled with Tiberi, Johnson, Williams and an aging but still elite McCallum.
Canelo stood toe to toe with GGG and was able to have a lot of success by basically doing a poor mans version of Toney. Toney wins a UD in a competitive fight. Golovkin simply is up against a superior inside fighter, who has a chin that could absorb his hardest punches and who would welcome GGG aggression. It's just a bad style match up for GGG, you don't beat Toney by going at him, you have to box and move, take away his counter right and keep turning him. Always the chance that Toney shows up to camp overweight, drains himself to make weight and gets beaten on points though, Toney even in his prime was inconsistent. But at his best he's too much for GGG.
Great Fantasy Match up....Toney had a great chin...and Golovkins is Granite...this fight is going the distance....DRAW.!!!!
you gotta pick the elite really, until 3G as finished his career and reached his full HoF potential in my estimation. Then the tables will be terribly turned on 2-ton tone take it from me.
touche, both tone and G beat him narrowly on points true. But you do not appear to have an argument here.... you must post a counter, not a supportive argument helping out the guy you are arguing with.
GGG by wide decision. Toney backs off and shoulder rolls himself into some heavy artillery, but his granite set of whiskers keeps him standing up right. GGG will find it difficult to land at times, but will outwork and outland Toney even though the odd counter gets through
This. Completely agree, if Toney countered whilst Golovkin was open he'd definitely be able to keep him honest like Canelo did
I'd have to go Toney if we talking prime Toney, to slick & that goes for Canelo as well. Toney on his game would walk through these two.
