i dont like how porter looks so close to fight time. a fighter, whether its man, dog, rooster, whatever, should be bursting with energy at the end of his training or keep. wringing out the last bit of moisture to make weight is gonna cost him. another thing, they weigh him at 147.2, then 20 seconds later, he weighs in at 146.8. wtf? i dont know, man. i think porter gets knocked out. 2 lbs aint a lot, unless youre already empty. you stress the body to squeeze more moisture, it starts to pull it from your brain, and that takes a few days to replenish. it slows your reactions and kills your recuperative abilities. in this video he looks hung over, thats consistent with extreme dehydration.
Don't talk about the Bronze Bomber like that. But really, how do you rate Porter? I always felt like he was overrated. I think he's a hard guy to beat because of his pressure, stamina, and chin. However, Porter isn't hard to figure out but just keeping him off you and also winning in the eyes of the judges ain't an easy thing to do. I think Ugas has a good shot at the upset as long as he doesn't get overwhelmed. IMO I think he has better boxing skills than Porter but he still might get ran over tomorrow night regardless. We shall see, I'm excited for the fight. As much as I think Porter is overrated as a boxer, I really do like him as a person. I won't be at all upset if he wins.
hes outside himself, bad place to be when a man is trying to punch your head off. ive never seen him sit like hes on a bean bag, hes always pretty animated on the edge of the seat. maybe im reading too much into it, but ive seen this before.
porter has never made weight easy but normally he is one of the most professional Boxers out there. Not sure what happened there.
Porter lost to at least 2 Cubans in the amateurs Lost to Luis Garcia (Cuba) 11-37 Lost to Emilio Correa Jr. (Cuba) Lost KO by 2 Ugas is coming for his weight-drained ass
He looks pretty drained, but he could just be conserving his energy knowing how much it took out of him. He's still young so he could recover in time for the fight, but it's an unnecessary risk for any fighter to be going into the ring that depleted only twenty four hours before. Hope nothing bad happens to him as he seems like a genuinely nice guy and I enjoy his style, crude though it is.
I've come to despise Porter. Dude has been screaming for YEARS that he was Team Pac, yadda, yadda, yadda. Then during the Broner fight, Porter was seen on camera screaming "C'mon, AB!" What a two-faced POS.
Looks like an extremely bad weight cut. I've seen it said that Ugas is trash, if Ugas is actually trash than what does that make all the actual B and C-Level fighters out there like Jamal James that Ugas has been running over the past few years? Levan, Perrella, Dulorme and Robinson is actually a fairly impressive streak, especially considering we appeared to see Ugas' ceiling before this against Imam. He's clearly improved.
