I saw that Shannan Taylor got inducted in the Australian boxing hall of fame.
Would love to have seen a prime Shannan Taylor smash Jeff Horn to bits.

He's been Australian-based for a long time now but wasn't when he was IBF champ.

I've claimed as many as I reasonably can but "No Deal" doesn't quite make the cut.

Don't think that would have happened. Shannon Taylor at his best had good offensive capability but I think Horndog would have taken what Shannon dished out. Not so sure about the other way around.

One thing they both have in common is that they made it to the big show in America & fought the P4P top American at the time. Neither did as well as they would have liked but just getting to that point was a significant achievement.

On the subject of Horndog, he should go over to America with Dennis Hogan & do some sparring with the Charlos. He needs to make up for the fact that he has only fought 96 seconds since getting flogged by Crawford.

I would go so far as to say he has no chance of winning against Rob Brant unless he does something like that. A fortnight sparring with the Charlos would compensate for his lack of in-the-ring activity to some degree.

Do the either of the Charlo's even have a fight coming up? Horn is too arrogant anyway to go there as a sparring partner he is completely deluded and thinks that he is a superstar. The Bulli Blaster would have sparked him out cold.

Joel Brunker loses another one against an unheralded Tanzanian last night. His second loss in 3 fights against sub top 150 in the world opponents.

Looks like Joel has slipped a notch since decent efforts put in v Selby & Warrington sadly .

    * Looks like Tim Tszyu may have fought his last domestic fight for a while . Tszyu has stated the only domestic clash he is interested in is the winner of a potential May clash between Mundine vs Zerafa. If not he wants to base himself in the States and make his name there.
Tszyu has been busy training and sparring at Freddy Roach Gym and next week he is moving to Mayweather Gym for similar exp. Click .

I'd prefer to see Junior Tszyu based in Australia, but it must be tempting to relocate overseas. Having world class sparring available on a daily basis is something he wouldn't have here in Australia. In saying that, they chew you up & spit you out pretty quick over there so perhaps a good balance would be to be based here & do a few training camps over there.

There's certainly more on offer here in terms of prospective opponents than just the Zerafa v Mundine winner. Dennis Hogan would be a great opponent after his fight with Mexican Mungo as would Jeff Horn. Tszyu also needs a couple of decent 10-rounders under his belt before he goes near any of them. He's dispatched low-level opposition spectacularly but he still needs those intermediate level fights.

Brunker was never any good he spent his whole career fighting bums then when he finally stepped up he was completely dominated by Selby and Warrington. He ducked all his domestic rivals and we can see why. He also got a few gift decisions along the way. Disappointing career for an Olympian.
