Yet Mikey goes up two divisions to face the huge, number 1 guy who is a feared puncher ?

Usyk has dropped in my estimations.

And what if mikey gets destroyed next week? People will say he had no business up at 147.

look at the rest of the P4P list

Canelo moves up to fight champion GGG
Loma moves up to fight champion Linares
Crawford moves up to fight champion Horn
Inoue moves up to fight champion McDonnel

    etc. etc.

Yet Usyk needs a warm up to fight Povetkin who is no where near the level of Wilder / Fury / Joshua

It's not Usyk who insist on the warm-up fight, Povetkin team wanted to build it up more.

Canelo fought at SMW just before facing GGG lol
    Horn is awful
    McDonnell is B level

Knowing Usyk, his warm up fight will be someone like Whyte.

Yeah right... Povetkin was beating Joshua 4-2. If he was three years younger, he would have won. He is still elite.

1). He hasn't targeted warm-up fights, he wants to get straight in there with the top 5.
2). If he was looking for a warm-up, fair enough, because the jump in weight Usyk will be making is far greater

I have no problem with Usyk having a warm up, his resume is pretty good as it is anyway.

What are you on about??? Usyk has never at any point asked for a ‘warm up fight’ at heavyweight, infact his preference would be to take on one of the bigger names in the division from the off if it was solely down to him. So get your facts straight!

2 weight classes in lighter weights is a lot less pounds then going from cruser to heavyweight. He is going to fight 250 plus men after fighting 200 pounders.

Mikey went up ONE weight class. He's fought at 140 three times.

Having a couple of warm up fights at the new weight is a sensible move. Why would you have a problem with that? What other people do has nothing to do with Usyk.
