Before anyone shoots me I believe there were far better fighters than Holy in terms of ability I just feel it was quite an achievement beating big powerful guys after being at a much smaller weight, so does this achievement merit this kind of aclaim or am I being a silly attention seeking sausage? I happen to think Usyk is better than Holy was at cruiser but he is yet to prove he can be as good as `Vander was at heavywweight.
Update: I have changed the title because it was stupid, so is Hoy the best fighter ever to move up to heavy from a lighter weight class?

Pretty underrated p4p resume though, I must admit

Sorry about that crappy comment I made about your mother on the other thread I didn`t take age into account, it was insensitive and petty.

    Tbh, i asked for it.

Mark, just take a step back sometimes with the thread making?
Search the forums and comment on existing threads, it will put you in a much better standing and you are still having an input.

And stop changing your thread titles!

Tunney and Ezzard come to mind quickly and others stated several more that may hold better standings...but one thing is for sure Holyfield would give ANYONE a hell of a fight on anyone’s best day.

I think he has the strongest case.

None of the guys mentioned so far are better than him from a H2H perspective imo.

I'd say top 5 easily, arguably top 3.

Cruiser was no man's land until Holy got there M. Duran, J. Warring C. Daniels not great fighters, but were solid. Holy did everyone in-- easily to show he was levels above his whole division.
So he moved up as a unified champ to HW division, that is rare. Who accomplished that moving up to HW? Not today's James Tony, Chrys Byrd or Roy Jones who was way more gifted and p4p had better pop to his shots.

Definitely an overachiever @ HW. Strong, but no one punch KO power.
Fluid, but not graceful. Fast enough, but not that fast. Bad head movement, but great lateral movement. Resilient, took a punch & endurance.
