He holds the WBA continental belt. Most organisations work on a points system in which fighters who fight for, win and defend minor WBA titles get points. You also get points for beating other WBA ranked opponents. You could say they have paid for this ranking through sanctioning fees.
Perhaps Conor Benn can be the new Anthony Yarde He can talk himself up as an elite world class fighter, and talk about facing the best, whilst facing complete third raters. There is clearly money to be made from that approach up to a certain point until people just switch off altogether as they are tired of the BS.
WBC are no worse than any other. They are all ****ing horrendous, id probably rate WBA the worst. They ranked a dead guy before! haha
Yarde is alot better than Benn - can agree with that. As he is yet to face anyone in the worlds top 50 we dont know whether he is decent. He is where david price was before he stepped up against tony thompson
he's not even at that level. Price was decent British level, even Euro level. Benn is area level currently.
No he does not. Yarde hasn't even fought anyone in the top 50. Price has fought world level fighters several times and on occasion held his own. There's a big different between the two.
