Carter vs Collins was fine, he was getting up before the count and was fighting back

Machen vs Ingo was ****ed up I agree, but that's only because Machen looked to be down

    Moore vs Duran was fine

A fighter should choose whether he wants to live or die. "He who lives by the sword dies by the sword". This is what makes boxing the greatest sport of all time, heart will take you farther here than any other sport.

Right? To Pastors credit he recovered quickly after each knockdown and continued fighting.

Rawson the referee was absolutely castigated in the Ring after the Collins fight.
    Read the fight reports FFS!

Moore v Duran was fine? Was it ****! Did you happen to notice the boxing commissioner JoseTorres screaming at the referee to stop the fight?

"Next, Moore defended against former two-division world champion Roberto Durán. Moore appeared to be overconfident against an aging 'Hands of Stone' Duran but Duran totally outclassed him and dished out vicious punishment, hammering shut one of Moore's eyes and stopping him in eight brutal rounds at Madison Square Garden. The beating was so one-sided that Moore's mother and girlfriend were both said to have fainted at ringside. Many knowledgeable observers believed that referee Ernesto Magana should have stopped the fight far earlier. This was proven to be correct by the fact that Moore was never the same fighter after this contest."
Neither Collins or Moore were ever the same after these beatings
Thank Christ you're not a referee!

    They looked fine to me

Now this is an issue, who brings their mother and girlfriend to a ****ing prizefight (rhetorical, I know many fighters do it.) Those are probably the 2 people in the world you least want to see you in a bloodthirsty "kill or be killed" state

Ruining a fighter is a statement to one's ability, though its a shame when a good talent is ruined

"They looked fine to me," but not to the audience or the boxing reporters who were sitting ringside, or in the case of the Moore fight the boxing commissioner.

Rawson was hauled up before the boxing commission, did you know that?

You really do come from left field don't you!

"He never stopped punishing Moore's body, but now he went after the head, too. By the fourth round, the right eye had' closed, and Moore was bleeding from the nose and lip; by the seventh he was all target. Duran buckled Moore's legs with a combination to the head. As the champion backed up, Duran dropped him with that hard right hand, sending him to the floor with his back on the ropes. There he simply sat with his lower lip puffed out, dazed and helpless. "That punch came from nowhere," Moore said later. He gamely climbed to his feet at the count of eight, and then the bell rang.

At ringside, Moore's mother and girl friend had fainted, slumping in their seats, and now there were cries to stop the bloodbath. But the referee, Ernesto Magaña of Mexico, appeared blind to what was going on. He kept looking at Moore's closed eye, as if waiting for it to fall out before he would stop the fight. Leave it to the WBA to hire a turkey to run a cockfight. That is what it had become, and Duran had all the talons.

"Finish him off now," Duran's trainer, Nestor Quiñones, told him before the eighth. It took Duran two minutes and two seconds to convince Washington to throw a blood-splattered white towel of surrender into the ring. If Magaña saw it, he ignored it. Finally Jay Edson, a Top Rank representative, clambered into the ring and called a halt to the proceedings. "The worst ref I've looked at for a long time," Arcel said. On top of that, the WBA's two Japanese judges, Kasumasa Kuwata and Tashikawa Yoshida, apparently were content to spend the night looking at Magaña looking at Moore's eye. They both called four of the seven rounds even."
