    You're hilarious.

Seriously, what's the deal with Lou Del Valle?

Joe Calzaghe was once knocked down by a guy called Kabary Salem.

    Also, like Tramell has noted:

That knockdown was due to a slip.

You seem obsessed by the punch, yet I very much doubt whether or not you've seen the actual fight in it's entirety.

On 3 separate occasions, the referee had to ask the corner for a towel. He then called a halt whilst he bent down and wiped the wet canvas. And that was due to water continuously dripping from Roy's shorts. Roy also slipped when he threw a punch at Del Valle.

The shot that Del Valle landed was a good shot. But in my honest opinion, Roy wouldn't have gone down had he not have slipped.

As he absorbed the punch, his weight moved back onto his back foot, which was his right one. After putting his weight on it, his foot then immediately slipped hard and fast from underneath him, which is why he fell face first.

It's crystal clear on the replay if you look close enough. The best camera angle to look at is the one from overhead.

You've made a load of fuss over nothing.

See for yourself on the replays:

I couldn't see how Collins would have beaten him. I think Collins himself is overrated, living off of past prime wins over Benn and Eubank.

Collins could out fight Ward on the inside, he also was really good at cutting off the ring.

I forgot to mention Reggie Johnson as another one who would be at least 50/50 against Ward

Ali`s reflexes were quicker than Roy`s and so were the reflexes of Benitez who proved he could dodge most of Tommy Hearns punches and a good share of Ray Leonard`s Jones at the higher weights never faced hand speed like that Ray`s hands at welter were far quicker than Toney`s and Tommy was no slouch at 154/147 either, plus Toney wasn`t throwing many punches at Roy.

Ward`s resume is far better than Johnson`s at 168/175 Kov would have destroyed Johnson and Ward fought great on the inside v Froch who was far more powerful than Collins the right hand Ward first shook Kov with leading up to the stoppage was as hard as the right hand Eubank dropped Collins with in their first fight, had that have been Ward in there he would have finished Collins who was there for the taken.

Ward would have beaten Benn and Eubank at 168, he won far more rounds than both of those guys during his career.

McClellan is the most overrated out of this group and got exposed by Benn.

I feel Tucker proved he was better than Tubbs in his performance against Tyson and he had a better first round than Tubbs had, people make out Tyson used to come out blasting all the time because of his one round KO`s so make a big deal about Tubbs winning the 1st round v Tyson but he landed next to nothing in a feeling out round, Tucker would have beaten the older bald Foreman also.

Collins was very tough. He was a good boxer. But after seeing him in close fights with a faded Eubank, I don't think he could have beaten Ward.

    I've always liked Reggie.

I think he could have had some success at SMW.

Ali and Benitez didn't have quicker reflexes.

    Benitez-Hearns was a tactical fight.

Hearns outboxed Ray at range, until Ray had to switch tactics and turn it into a shootout.

Of course Ray had faster hand speed than Toney.

Yeah, I'm a big fan of Tua but he was massively limited as a boxer and more or less relied on his power (specifically his left hook) to bail him out on more than one occasion. That power was a tremendous equaliser of course, which is why I suspect many people give him chances against stylistically better boxers; no matter how good you are it can be difficult not to get hit by your opponent at some point in the night. But any decent boxer with a jab and a bit of defensive prowess could potentially upset him on the cards.

Ike never proved enough for me to pick him over anyone decent. He was getting befuddled by Byrd before Byrd slipped up and took a pasting against the ropes. A rematch would have told us a lot more. His fight with Tua was amazing, of course, but it was fought on pretty even terms, so again not hugely convincing for me.

Vitali is just massive, massively overrated by his fans. He would have been KOed by Lennox if the fight had continued (IMO) and that's more or less all his rep is built on: a few good rounds with a past-prime Lennox. He never fought anyone remotely on the same level again and seemed content to coast on his bad man image till retirement. H2H I'd pick Wlad over him all day.

Dempsey must be the number one overrated HW for me. How someone so small and crude could not only be considered but favoured to beat far larger and more technically sound and accomplished HWs like Lennox or Wlad is just insane, yet it's still done. I wouldn't even favour him to beat many LHWs today, if I'm being brutally honest. Maybe that's going a bit too much in the opposite direction though. I just really am not that impressed with the guy. Pioneer for sure, but surpassed long ago.

Marciano's quite overrated as well, though his fans seem a little more grounded in assessing his chances against bigger men than the Dempsey aficionados. There's still a lot of, "Well, he was never beaten so he can't be beaten" mentality still floating around, and his general toughness still gets quite overstated (his physical resilience, not his heart), but you tend to see a bit more sobriety in H2H discussions involving the Rock.

But would you really consider Mosley to be an ATG? I'm a Mosley fan, but he looked clueless against really good defensive fighters and lost as many (if not more) as he won against the really big names once he went past Lightweight.

Also, he was 36 when Cotto beat him - and even then, he had Cotto in defensive mode and almost blowing the fight in the championship rounds. It was a good win for Cotto overall at that stage of his career, but doesn't really give me much confidence that he'd beat many true greats at 140 or 147 lb. Hell, that fight suggested that he might not even have been able to beat a prime Mosley.

Are you serious? Ward doesnt have anywhere near the power of Eubank. Ward has never in his life thrown a punch as hard as the ones Collins survived from Eubanks. Collins can walk through Ward's best shots no problem. Not sure why you mention Forch who was really a mediocre inside fighter, Collins is a much stronger and more skilled inside fighter and would give Ward fits.

Also Johnson schools Kovalev that's about the perfect matchup for Reggie Johnson. Johnson takes away the jab(as he did to every single orthadox opponent) and Kovalev would be lost.
